Rated 5 out of 5 by from frogee and my backyard frogee reminded me of the frog on seseme street. i can't wait to show it to my 2 year old grandson. it is also functional and should withstand the elements since it is made of aluminum. the only criticism i have is that it could be bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First-rate quality This frog table is as well made as it is charming. There's isn't a single burr or sharp edge, which is a nice change from most products I've seen lately. The finish is excellent, and although some comments have noted that it could tip over, you'd really need to unbalance the load on the tray before that would be a problem. The only complaint I have is that the packaging was awful. There were blocks of styrofoam taped to cardboard filler boxes within the outer carton, and the tape had rolled over so that the whole shebang was adhered to the inside of the carton. I opened both ends and still couldn't get the table out without removing fistfuls of sytrofoam. Be sure to open this outdoors!

How is the iron weight attached to the underside of the 8" base?

. . . And how much weight does it take to tip over the 9 pound table? One person said there was a "balancing problem." Apparently, if a heavy object (large drink) was placed at the far side of the tray it might cause the table to tip over. If the iron weight was bolted to the base maybe it could be replaced with something heavier. My husband loved the table, and he could probably make it more stable if he knew what the bottom of the base looked like.

The bottom of the base is covered with a thin fabric that's apparently glued on. I think the balancing question is not really relevant. You'd have to put a pretty substantial load on the very end of the tray to tip the table. The photo shows a pitcher of iced tea or something on it, but in reality, that would probably be too large an item to be visually appealing. A coffee cup and a remote control or cell phone is a reasonable load for the table, I think.
