Realistic Candle Lighting
We love our battery operated candles. They are perfect on our deck and patio. We have 4 large ones in different Frontgate lanterns and have recently ordered more for smaller lanterns. Quality and appearance are exceptional.

Outdoor Candles
I just purchased one to start. When it arriveD it looked so much better then ones I have seen elsewhere & the fact that they come with a remote have me sold. I will be purchasing @ least 5 more. I suggested them to a friend the day it arrived!

Battery 6" candle
I was extremely disappointed with this candle. I have many battery candles and they are all wax on the outside. I was appalled by candle when I opened it. I sent one to my sister-in-law for her birthday. So, I was appalled that she received one, too. I had thought better of Frontgate quality and taste. I wrote my sister-in-law and told her I wouldn't feel offended if she sent it back. She wrote back that she agreed with me and thanked me for confirming her opinion. Now, my sister and I will be seeing what Frontgate's customer service is like. I trust it will be excellent. That has always been my experience and expectation of Frontgate.

A candle that doesn't melt outside!
I've been looking for outdoor LED battery operated candles, but could only find wax ones. It gets very hot where I live, and wax melts outside in the summer. These are great! They look real and have a flickering light. I purchased the remote and it works great! Would hate to have to go around picking up all the candles to turn off after a party - now it's just point and push the remote. Frontage has quality products that have never disappointed.

Outdoor candle could use redesign
Frontgate's outdoor candles' remote works fine; however, the candles themselves are unattractive compared to outdoor wax candles, as the large D battery base prevents any light from entering or glowing from the lower half of each candle. The outer construction in plastic, rather than wax, is probably sturdier in summer heat, but is part of the problem in that it doesn't allow a channel for light to permeate it and glow, like wax does. Basically, it looks like half of the candle is not working at all.
I hope Frontgate, in keeping with its excellent and attractive products, considers redesigning their outdoor candles to solve this visual problem.

Flameless outdoor candles
In concept, this is a great idea. The reality is that most candle holders have a spike in the middle where you drive a real wax candle into the spike and the candle is held firmly. So when purchasing this as a replacement for real outdoor candles, there should be a hole in the center where the spike can fit in so it can fit flat on the holder. I may return this, or cutoff the spike, or drill a hole in the bottom of this flameless candle. Not sure what to do but not as simple as swapping out the old candles.

Works great!
Remote works great! Small, light weight. Candles sit around our pool but I can turn them on/off from inside. Still need to sort out how timer works.

Flameless candles
I love this option. I have many real candles but worry about fire hazards. This is an excellent alternative. It is soothing to watch and if you accidentally leave it on, the worst that will happen is your batteries will burn out!

Reliable Candle
This is the second outdoor candle I have purchased. The first one is in a lantern on a covered porch, so it does not get direct rain. I have had it for a year and it works perfectly. The batteries have been changed only once. I live in coastal Florida and doubt any candle could hold up under the torrential rains we get. I have this new candle on a shelf in the shower and so far it is as reliable as the first. It too does not get direct water. Overall, these candles been very reliable for my needs.

initially a great buy BUT......
These candles are great to start but quality lags after a few months. The timers on the inside broke on 2 of my candles. (i purchased 8). Now they are either on or off all of the time as the remote does not work with them once the timer broke. I would reconsider this purchase given the price.

After enabling the remote, it easily operates lighting the artificial candle; it is especially helpful for hard to reach candle or a candle encased in a hurricane or lantern.

Flameless candles w/remote
Perfect for outdoors especially in breezy conditions. Having them turn on and off by remote is very handy. Getting the back off of the candle to insert the batteries is a bit tricky. Because you need a very small phillips screwdriver to remove the back of the candle, it should be included.

Best thing since the wick!
We have a number of these in different style lanterns and especially like the remote option. They are in daily use indoors and out coming on automatically at a set time and shut off automatically 5 hours later AND completely safe!

Convenient to Have
The remote for the battery operated flameless candles works well. It came with batteries and ready to use, which was wonderful. I was hoping that the range would be longer on the remote to turn on the candles from the back porch to the outside fireplace. I actually have to be within about five feet for them to work, but it is much better than having to turn them on manually!

Beautiful solution to a problem
After last summer's oppressive heat and 4 melted candles, I decided to look for alternatives. These fit the bill perfectly. Love the timer option on the remote.I put two in the mirror back lanterns and two in wall sconces on either side of our outdoor fireplace. These are plastic, and will not melt. Though they are a stark white when not turned on, they cast a beautiful glow when lit. I am certain that we'll enjoy these for years to come.

Very realistic outdoor candles.
Love these candles. I previously used ones that had melted outside. These don't melt and the timer works great. I can enjoy them night after night without doing a thing! They looks beautiful and would recommend them.

The remote device I purchased for my outdoor candles is a wonderful energy saving tool! It helps extend the battery life of the candles, and lets me decide when I want them on or off at the touch of a button! I have only had it for a few months, but it works wonderfully

Love this product
we live in south FL, so we entertain all year round on our pool deck & patio. These candles look very real and the soft flickering flame is very realistic.
