Set of Two Battery-operated Flameless Outdoor Candles with Remote 4.1 5 24 26
Two candles and a remote. I think these are a good price. I didn't know if I'd like them, since I didn't know if they would produce any light. They do. I like the timer feature on the remote. They are not high powered like a lamp, but I prefer them to regular candles. They don't drip wax. I bought them to go in the Pineapple Hurricanes, and only 1 fits into the Pineapple Hurricane. I would suggest ordering the candles that are not as big around as these, if you want them for the Pineapple Hurricane. I would get the same height, but not the same inches around. These may not be for everyone, but they were not too expensive and worked without problems. March 8, 2014
Great Purchase I purchased the set (2 candles and the remote) about a month ago, put them outside, and have not touched them since. I love the way they look and I really love that I can have that flickering candle glow on my patio every evening without having to light then extinguish real candles. I live in a high fire danger area so not having any kind of open flame is a real plus. Some people have commented on the white color but I think it looks fine. Mine are both in some sort of lantern/candle holder so during the daytime, the white contrasts nicely against the dark metal. At night, they glow an orange-yellow and flicker. I'm curious to see how long a set of battery lasts - I think even lasting a month is great considering they come on every night for 5 hours. I would definitely recommend these candles for those who like to entertain - one less thing to worry about to "set the mood" when you have guests over for the evening. August 3, 2011
Plastic junk Don't buy. It is plastic junk. Sorry Frontgate but this was not up to your standards. February 6, 2014
Great Purchase I love these candles. They are so pretty and they turn off and on with a controller. They are great! January 27, 2014
Baeutiful decor Love these candles. The fact that they have a remote and can be set to turn on and off at the same time every day is wonderful. January 8, 2014
Remote Controlled Candle Lights Nice product....wished they would have been different sizes though. December 30, 2013
Pretty amazing I have gone through many outdoor, battery operated candles. These are some of the best I've ever seen. Cannot yet attest to their durability since I've only had them a few weeks. They glow very nicely at night, and the remote control is outstanding so far. I'd give them 5 stars if only they weren't such a stark white color-would prefer a more 'natural' color. July 10, 2011
Not Realistic These were very disappointing after receiving the Dream Candle. Although they are inexpensive, I would rather pay the extra money for a realistic candle. I have returned them. Frontgate, PLEASE develop an outdoor Dream Candle!! They are awesome! November 7, 2013

I didn't buy any remotes because it said that the candles had timers (most of my electric candles have timers as an option on the switch). What I didn't realize is that the timer only works if you have the remote.

Answer:
The battery operated flameless outdoor candles that i bought all work with 1 remote.
i have about 30 of them in various sizes in different places inside and oout, so i bought a couple of extra remotes, but you could get by with just one.
Don't forget you need to put batteries in them - they are not supplied by Frontgate.
I live in the Palm Springs are where it can get above 100+F, and I've had the candles outdoors in the sun, and they still work perfectly.

I bought these candles (I LOVE them) and have lost the directions to the remote. I've tried using the timer buttons but the candles don't turn off automatically. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Answer:
Change the batteries, would be my first step.
Then manually turn the candle on, and then shut it off with the remote.
It should work that way. All 30 of mine do..
