Classic Wall-mount Hose Holder 4.2 5 17 18
POORLY DESIGNED FOR MOUNTING ON BRICK While the product is visually pleasing relative to the more utilitarian hose reels on the market, I found it impossible to mount on my brick surface. The reel comes with expansion bolts. My builder suggested I not use expansion bolts as they may crack the brick. And, it was impossible to line up the expansion bolts with the mortar intervals so that the expansion bolts would align with the the mortar intervals using the pre-drilled "T" mount holes. Then I tried using cement screws for the mounting. While cement screws can be used in either brick or mortar, they could not be used with this application. The use of screws require the device to be fully assembled prior to mounting since the bolts holding the front plate trellis must first be screwed into the front trellis from the rear of the "T" mount. But a fully assembled holder does not leave enough space to operate the drill. An intractable situation. Not well designed. Others may have better luck. I didn't. September 18, 2012
Hose Holder The hose holder is an excellent product. It is, however, too heavy to be mounted on the outdoor wall using only the toggle bolts you provided. The weight of the item required that I find the studs behind the wall and then mount. November 25, 2013
elegant hose reel Purchased two hose reels for the sides that can be viewed from the street given it is a corner lot home. Extremely elegant and with the premium hose that has a copper color lends an air of sophistication. Thought that I might not like an exposed hose reel but have drastically changed my mind as it conclusively adds a european french provence or italian tuscany touch to the home and is now a focal point not a detriment. Just ordered two more hose reels and premium hoses for sides that do not even face the street as they are a pleasure to use watering the garden. Wish I had them today...just can't wait as they are great! September 9, 2013
Stylized Solution I purchased this needing something to make a hose attached to the side of the hose more tasteful and it didn't disappoint. I looks great and is made out of sturdy cast metal. Mounting requires carefulness to get it straight and sturdy. October 4, 2013
Attractive garden The reel provides an attractive method for keeping the hose coiled and near the garden. October 9, 2013
Awesome wall-mount hose holder This is absolutely gorgeous, strong and looks so great wherever it is displayed and used. I've gone through 3 automatic hose reels and they were lousy. This can be mounted at any heighth and very handy. Thanks Frontgate!! June 19, 2012
Hose Holder Looks good but functionality may be compromised by design. Insufficient support for hose may ultimately result in flattening and kinking. Supplied hardware is limited an unsuitable for mounting to some surfaces. Mounting bracket should have been engineered with larger hole to allow use of larger bolts (molly bolt for example). Hopefully it stands up to weather. September 10, 2013
nice design Heavy duty material, looks better in reality than the picture but very hard to install. September 19, 2013

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. This hose holder can be mounted to a brick or stone home. Included with the item are step by step instructions to do so. However, this would require the use of special hardware (expansion bolts) that are not included and would need to be purchased at your local hardware store.

Answer:
My husband mounted it in about 10 minutes. You have to get the mason screws to mount on stone and drill them in.

Answer:
My builder told me expansion bolts that come with the unit may crack my brick. Not sure about stone. Use of cement screws I found to be intractable with the mounting design.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. Unfortunately, the maximum length of hose this holder can accommodate is 125 feet of 5/8" hose. We do not recommend using this item with any additional length of hose as it may result in damage to the holder itself, or the surface the holder is mounted to. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Answer:
Probably not. 150' of hose would require some of the hose to extend beyond the outside metal trellis. It might work but would be unsightly.
