Classic Wall-mount Hose Holder
If you have to have a hose in view, like on a deck as I do, this is the perfect holder. It's pretty, blends in with the décor and classic, just like its name says.

POORLY DESIGNED FOR MOUNTING ON BRICK
While the product is visually pleasing relative to the more utilitarian hose reels on the market, I found it impossible to mount on my brick surface. The reel comes with expansion bolts. My builder suggested I not use expansion bolts as they may crack the brick. And, it was impossible to line up the expansion bolts with the mortar intervals so that the expansion bolts would align with the the mortar intervals using the pre-drilled "T" mount holes.
Then I tried using cement screws for the mounting. While cement screws can be used in either brick or mortar, they could not be used with this application. The use of screws require the device to be fully assembled prior to mounting since the bolts holding the front plate trellis must first be screwed into the front trellis from the rear of the "T" mount. But a fully assembled holder does not leave enough space to operate the drill. An intractable situation. Not well designed.
Others may have better luck. I didn't.

Decorative Hose Holder
So far so good. It is sturdy and was easy to mount and looks beautiful on the side of our house. We probably will buy some more for the other hoses we have outside our home.

Looks beautiful at our front doorway
The hose holder needed to not look like a utility as it is right at our front door. It's gorgeous! Instructions could have been easier, husband is handy so he figured it out.
Worth the extra money.

Installation instructions
We are pleased with the functionality of the wall-mount hose holder. It looks great on the side of the house and holds the hose appropriately. Our only feedback is that the mounting hardware was not appropriate for the house. The screws were cement screws but our house has siding. My husband had to go to the hardware store to get the appropriate mounting screws. Now that it is installed, we are very pleased.

Awesome wall-mount hose holder
This is absolutely gorgeous, strong and looks so great wherever it is displayed and used. I've gone through 3 automatic hose reels and they were lousy. This can be mounted at any heighth and very handy. Thanks Frontgate!!

Classic Hose Holder
It is beautiful! Love the way it hides the hose but still looks pretty. However, I think the price is a little high.

I would like to purchase this hose holder, but how difficult is it to mount to a brick or stone home?

Answers
Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. This hose holder can be mounted to a brick or stone home. Included with the item are step by step instructions to do so. However, this would require the use of special hardware (expansion bolts) that are not included and would need to be purchased at your local hardware store.Answer:
My husband mounted it in about 10 minutes. You have to get the mason screws to mount on stone and drill them in.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
My builder told me expansion bolts that come with the unit may crack my brick. Not sure about stone. Use of cement screws I found to be intractable with the mounting design.8 months ago
curious as to whether or not this hose holder can hold 150' of 5/8" hose even though the stated maximum is 125'.

Answers
Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. Unfortunately, the maximum length of hose this holder can accommodate is 125 feet of 5/8" hose. We do not recommend using this item with any additional length of hose as it may result in damage to the holder itself, or the surface the holder is mounted to. We apologize for any inconvenience.Answer:
Probably not. 150' of hose would require some of the hose to extend beyond the outside metal trellis. It might work but would be unsightly.8 months ago
