Classic Window Swag

Disappointed
I had purchased three other of these swags prior to the holidays. I liked them so well that I purchased more to use in other windows. Prior to receiving the others, two of the swags that I had purhased prior to the season burnt out. All the lights burnt out which would have required me to restring the lights. They did not even last one season - very poor quality.

Next To Fresh It's Best
For the most part I was very satisfied with these swags, as they are very well made and nice and full with a good variety of items included, like being pre-lit. My only complaint would be for a different hanging system. The ribbon is not ideal--some sort of thin metal plate that could be held under a window or shaped to hang from a railing would be better in my view, but I was well satisfied .

Great front porch decorations
These beautiful window swags were just the right size to put in the window boxes hanging on the front porch. They were carefully packaged and did not require very much freshening up before they could be displayed. A few boughs from the bottom of the Christmas tree enhanced their realistic look. The lights were already installed and just needed to be plugged in. They are well worth the money and have a quality look to them - not like cheap hardware store versions.

Love, Love, Love this swag
Absolutely beautiful. I've had it outside sitting in my window boxes for about a month now and it looks and works beautifully.

Problems with lights
I have purchased many items from this collection over the past 2 years. The arrangements are beautiful but on some of the window swags the entire string of lights burned out. On the wreath, half of the lights burned out and I had to add a strand. I first thought it to be a wiring problem but after examining the entire set of bulbs are black. I think a better quality of lights would alleviate this problem as I own many decorations, some 10 to 15 years old and the lights still work perfectly.

Beautiful Decoration
I needed an easier way to decorate my home this year because my husband had surgery. I love Frontgate products and when I saw the Classic Collection, I ordered a lot! Very good quality, the clear lights are bright and we have had many compliments of how beautiful our home looks.

So Pretty and So Handy
I love these smaller pieces for accenting window sills, credenzas and sofa tables. They enbable me to add more Xmas decor to either side of them. I have others from Front Gate and added two of these this year. I'm happy and pleased.

Not so much
I was a little disappointed in the number of lights and actual over all size.

Answer:
Not unless you have a window box. Also, you would need to get power to these swags and if you're window doesn't open, it would not work.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
They have a lovely 2-3in green ribbon attached for hanging that you could attach to the outside of your home. The ribbon is attached at the ends forming a nice loop.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
Answer:
There are straps on back and you can use a suction cup to attach it. I have screens on outside of my windows so that didn't work for me, and my windows there don't open, so I just set them on the ledge, and the ledge was big enough for them to stay put.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
It depends if you have a window sill or ledge outside. You can try attaching the sash to the outside window without opening the window.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

I secured them with the ribbon that were attached to them. Your window really needs to open to attach them the way I did.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

you need a way to anchor the swag to the windowsill. There is a ribbon, so perhaps you can nail the ample ribbon to a surfaceLength of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
They come with beautiful ribbon that you can use to affix them. If your windows don't open you could attach the ribbon to the wood around the window, probably by using a nail or tying them to the window frame.5 months ago

Should the Clasic Window Swag sit on the outside window ledge or hang over the ledge?

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. The window swag is meant to sit on the outside window ledge and is secured by the attached ribbon.Answer:
They would look lovely either way. I do not have a large window ledge outside on my windows on the second level and I also wanted to expand the length of the window visually so I hung them so they span beneath the window & some of the greens peak above the bottom sash. It is a beautiful swag and would be a gorgeous accent either way.Answer:
The swag sits outside on the window ledge, not hanging. The ribbon (which looks like you should be hanging it!) is to anchor with the closed window.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
It should sit, but there is no way to fasten it to the window sill, have no idea why there is the long ribbon on it.5 months ago
Answer:
I have done it both ways depending on the placement of the window. Either looks great.5 months ago
