Copper Fire Pit is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 211.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Fire Pit I recently purchased this for a new patio I had designed for my back yard. I wanted the versatility of being able to move it around that a permanent stone pit does not give you. It has a very heavy base - no fear of it being tossed around by the wind. The bowl is a lovely shade of copper - not shiny bright, but more subdued and an adequate gauge. I have already received several compliments on it's appearance, but cannot address it's functionality because we haven't enjoyed a fire yet. This fire pit is a lovely addition to any outside living space and so far I feel worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Purchase We have had our Fire Pit for 4 years. We use it more than an average family. It has been used in snow, cold cold weather, cool weather you name it. It has had over 300 hours of use. It has burned hard, soft and green wood. We have sold 5 for frontgate... just from people coming over to our parties... Love of a product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Fire Pit! We bought this fire pit two years ago and we couldn't be happier. This is real quality. I have at least two fires a week and it has held up wonderfully. I wish Frontage would make the grate an accessory. Because of all the fires we've had the grate has warped and burned through in the middle. I would love to replace it and would happily buy a new one if Frontage made it available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Partio! This firepit is so well designed and burns wood beautifully! Holds large logs and contains sparks. Just polish up the copper once in a while if you want it to look like when you first purchased it. Has provided many enjoyable evenings with family and friends, in all seasons. Bought accessories too. The only suggestion is you may want to order a back up bottom grate. It burns so hot this will eventually burn through, but we use it quite a bit. Thank you Frongate!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but for the grate Have had our fire pit for five years and many chords of wood. It's still copper, still portable, still beautiful Except the grate finally burned through. I wish it was easier to replace just the grate on which we build our fire. The pit, stand, screen and cover are just fine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Firepit A really great Firepit. Its a little shorter than I had imagined but it is definitely wide and very heavy, no need to worry about anything knocking or blowing over here. Beautiful copper bowl, a little thinner than the pictures let on, it has a rolled lip/edge so it looks a little thicker in the pics than in reality. But still a great firepit, have yet to find one being sold like this. Highly recommend, the price may be high but you will not need another one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fire pit We bought this and we love it. The only thing I didn't like were the 3 small drain holes. Ridiculously small but my husband made them larger by drilling into it and it was perfect! Now the water can go through easily without having to sit there and rust. Mine did that in some areas inside because of the tiny holes but all is well now. Got the fire pit dome spark guard and well, the first one that came was bent but Frontgate was quick to fix it. The funny part was that the fire pit was so well packed...I mean we had a lot of cardboard boxes and pieces to throw out and the done that is mostly with mesh was not well covered or packed. At least now we have a better one. Looks good regardless. Now we don't have to worry about too much sparks. Happy with purchase.

Can this fire pit be used on a wooden deck?

Asked by: starfly
I would think so... as long as you are being careful about your fire. The bottom of the copper bowl is about 6 inches off the ground and the grate raises the logs to about 10 inches off the ground. You could always put some stepping stones or deck pavers under the firepit to be completely certain nothing scorches underneath.

Can the firepit be use as an insert for a permenant structure, such as brick or stone.

Asked by: flydude
If you would like to use your fire pit on your deck or any surface, look up Deck Protect. You can enjoy your fire pit without the worry. Comes in five sizes and is fire proof, weather proof. Made from volcanic rock, you will enjoy friends and family knowing they are safe from this potential hazard. Trex preferred, can be found on the Trex site or you can look at it on deck protect dot com. You will be glad you did. Enjoy life! With the feeling of safety. Cheers! Potta

Would sand in the basin protect it from fire damage?

Any recommendations re a basin filler below the grate?
Asked by: rdg4
It is not necessary to fill the copper bowl of the Copper Fire Pit with sand. This item is designed to withstand fire, and the logs can be put directly on the copper surface.

will sparkguard allow us to use pit on breezy nights and is it easy to add more logs with it on?

Asked by: marinara
Yes, the sparkguard will allow you to use the pit on breezy nights. You may need to keep some distance from the fire pit if the wind is strong, especially if the wind is swirling from many directions. When deployed, the opening is very large and easy to load in more firewood. No problem there. The sparkguard is quality steel, very robust and does not rust out as cheap sparkguards do. You won't need to replace it for a LONG time.

My fire pit collects a lot of water. Where are the drain holes located?

Asked by: tktk
There is a drain hole right in the middle at the bottom... I would suggest getting the cover. It works fantastic... If you have ashes in the bottom the drain hole can get clogged... but a cover fixes all issues.. :)
