Cordless Digital Recipe Reader with Wi-Fi 3.6 5 15 16
Digital reader I received this for Christmas and still have not figured it out. My husband took it into work with no success and my daughter also tried. Sounds like a great idea but all I have are their recipes and the purpose of the purchase was to put favorite recipes on it to use when I visit my children. Wish I had returned it immediately. And then the time spent coming up with a "nickname" not already in use! August 27, 2013
Recipe Reader Have not used the product yet as it is a gift It is attractive and as I have read their enclosed pamphlet it was not only very detailed in using it but am surprised how many features it has I was unaware of when buying it Have a friend who looked it over with with envy and very interested in getting one As for Frontgate's customer, service it was exceptional and I never expect anything else and am always comfortable sharing their web site December 14, 2012
Sorry product Did not work,,, Touch screen frozen, misplaced invoice to return May 6, 2013
Cordless Digital Recipe Reader with Wi-Fi This is a great product. I was looking for a electronic device to put all my recipes for easy access and use. Reader is solid, great screen, easy to read, and functional. The reader is easy to use, easy to put in recipes (helps you so you don't have to do all the typing). I was impressed that it does exactly what it is suppose to do. January 1, 2013
Just what I wanted I purchased the digital recipe reader to consolidate my recipees into a single, smalle, portabler file. The set-up took me 4 hours because I had to figure out the steps by trial and error. The set-up directions were incomplete. Now that I have it figured out I find easy to use and it meets all of my needs. January 2, 2013
Dated technology This item is being returned. It looked high-tech in the ad but out of the box it is disappointing. If you already have a small pc or a tablet you have nor need for the cordless digital reader. In fact you are way ahead in terms of portability and convenience. January 13, 2013
Digital Recipe Reader The Digital Recipe Reader is a great tool for cataloging and preserving family recipes. My only complaint is there is no accommodation for adding family photos in addition to photos of prepared foods. December 21, 2012

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. To add your paper recipes to this item, they would first need to be scanned into the computer and uploaded to your keyingredient.com profile. They can then be transfered to your digital recipe reader.

Answer:
If you have a scanner that can scan to your computer, you can then cut and paste very easily into their new recipe template. Very east to do. You can also, if recipe is from a cooking website, look up the recipe online and use their one touch program to read it in.

What accessories go with this?

One Frontgate. com site indicates that a USB cable is included with the product. Then when I go to the order site for Frontgate it only indicates that an AC adapter is included. Will this product con with a USB cable. If not can one be purchased?

We appreciate your interest in this item. This version of the recipe reader features a Wi-Fi connection so it does not require a USB cable. The AC adapter is included; however the USB cable is not. This can be purchased locally. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Answer:
NO usb cable comes with it When I questioned customer service about a USB cable I was told maybe one of these days something will adapt to it. They told me to upload an app, if I want to put my own recipes in it.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Cordless Digital Recipe Reader allows for transfer of recipes via the Key Ingredient website. You can type in your recipes on the website and then sync your reader to your Key Ingredient account to access the recipes. There is no charge for a Key Ingredient online account.

If you manually type in the recipes, there is no charge to add them to your reader. Key Ingredient does offer a service called "Recipe Snap" where you can take pictures or scan in images of hand-written recipes and they will upload them to your account. The Recipe Snap service does have a cost associated with it, however it is not required to use your reader.

Answer:
The device is synced to your account with Key Ingredient, which is a free online service that lets your organize recipes within your own cookbooks. You can copy/paste or type in your recipes, including images as long as your device has internet access. After you get your collection into the online site, you can then access it via the reader. Only time you have to pay is if you want to scan your personal written recipes and upload the scans into your account on the website.
