We were able to confirm that this dock is able to accommodate an iPhone with a slim case, such as the Incase that can be purchased at the Apple Store. Thicker cases, such as those purchased from Otterbox or Speck may present a problem.

Included in our monthly phone bill as part of our service, we pay a fee for an answering system. If we purchase this unit, how does it distinguish between the phone answer system and the cell phone voice system? Do we have to turn off any of the telephone answering services? And, how amplified is the speaker phone (to what degree)?

We were able to confirm that while this unit is not an amplified product, there is a volume control for the speaker phone feature which produces an output between 70-85 dB SPL. Unfortunately, this item does not support any type of answering device or service. We apologize for any inconvenience.
