Rated 5 out of 5 by from Answer to my Problems! I have had a horrible issue with mosquitos and have tried, every spray, even professional treatments, nothing has worked like this. I bought two! One for the front and one for the back. Its amazing that where people used to dodge them to get into my front door there is little to none now! Never thought anything would work this good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Product Very pleased with this product. Easy to assemble, looks good, quiet operation and very effective at keeping the bugs away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Works! Okay i'm giving this 5 stars only because i can't put 4.5. This thing really does work & i have a TON of moth's and other small insects in it. There is a way to empty it that i have not pursued because, well frankly, it grosses me out. I do think it has cut down on the population of moths & flying ants coming into our home, but the only issue i have is that it seems to ATTRACT a lot of them too! BIG beetles, large moths, odd insects. They seem to LOVE the light and gather around it like crazy, but they don't always make it in for whatever reason. Still, it definitely has an effect on # of insects bothering you & coming into your home with proper placement. Just not fun cleaning it out & looking at all of them around it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Insect Trap Ever! I have finally been able to enjoy evenings on my deck without being bothered by mosquitoes and other insects. I have put it in an out-of-the-way place where it's not even visible to guests, but it still seems to be clearing my deck of most of the bothersome nighttime pests. No noise, no chemicals...I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This will take care of what's bugging you! This really pulls in the flying insects. Don't forget to empty it. Very simple, quiet, nice looking. I really like the bronze color from Frontgate. I love the feeling of interrupting the breeding cycle of those darn mosquitoes.

how.do i change the bulb in my dynatrap?

Asked by: menardgirl
Thank you for contacting the Frontgate Product Specialist Department. How to replace the bulb:Unplug the unit and remove the retaining cage. Turn unit upside down and place your thumbs across (away from your body) on the white funnel, place your other fingers over the unit like you are gripping a roller coaster bar. The funnel will release and you will have access to the light bulbs. Rotate old bulbs 90° and lift to remove. Insert new bulbs and rotate 90° to seat. Reassemble unit aligning the groove to the funnel with electrical wires. Attach fan, and replace the collection chamber/retaining cage with a simple twist.

Both the Dynatrap® 1250 Insect Eliminator and the Dynatrap III Insect Eliminator provide up to a 1/2 acre of coverage; the difference between the two is how they are mounted. HOW DO I CHANGE THE LIGHT BULB ON THE 1250 w/stand.....

Asked by: mocopt
1. Turn power switch to “off” position. UNPLUG UNIT, and allow bulb to cool before replacing. 2. Remove retaining cage, and turn unit upside down. 3. Remove the four screws securing the fan housing to the light housing. After removing the screws, gently pull the fan housing away from the light housing. Using a soft brush, remove dirt and debris from the light housing. Once the cleaning process has been completed, untighten the screw securing the base of the light bulb to the light housing. Slide the metal bracket to the side. Cover the bulb with a cloth to protect your finger and hand. Grasp the bulb (with your hand and fingers protected by the cloth) and gently pull the bulb from the socket. 4. Remove any debris from the lamp socket with a brush before inserting the new bulb. Replace the metal plate over the base of the bulb and tighten the retaining screw. 5. Align the screw holes in the fan housing with the screw holes in the lighting unit and tighten the screws to the base of the lighting unit. 6. Replace the retaining cage at the bottom of the unit.

How sturdy is stand? Does it have to be on absolutely level ground?

Asked by: KenA
The Dynatrap XL and Dynatrap 1250 Set work best when they are hanging or mounted at least 3 feet above the ground. You might want to consider the Dynatrap 1250 with stand, item # 48967.
