Essential EZ Bed Inflatable Guest Bed 4.6 5 1241 1309
self-inflating twin bed fulfills all expectations We purchased the Essential EZ Bed for an impromtu visit by a teen-aged grandson. The bed (and the grandson!) performed up to all expectations. Moving the bed in its protective cover to the appropriate location was a breeze with the comfortable handle and the sturdy wheels. Unzip the cover, orient the bed in the direction you wish, plug it in, turn the switch to "inflate" and in less than 3 minutes you have a comfortable raised twin bed whose firmness can be controlled by the degree of inflation you permit. Deflation is just as easy; turn the switch to "deflate", collapse the sturdy metal supporting structure and zip the bed in its cover. Deflated, it takes up very little storage room and the dark cover makes it inconspicuous in most settings. It's a convenient way to intermittently expand your accommodations and to do so comfortably and economically. November 23, 2011
Ideal backup guest bed When the last-minute need arose for an extra bed, we ordered this magnificent item. It arrived almost overnight, and when we plugged it in and turned the switch, it almost miraculously expanded all by itself, the feet folding down into their proper positions without us doing a thing. We gave our guests the master bedroom, and slept on the new inflatable ourselves, for three extremely pleasant and comfortable nights. Then, with another turn of the switch, it deflated itself automatically. A few nudges were needed to get the feet positioned, and we zipped up the package for long-term storage. What a great concept! August 23, 2011
Worthwhile Purchase Purchased for extra guests who said it was very comfortable. March 27, 2015
Slept like a baby! Bought this bed to take on vacation but also to have when guests come over and we need more room for extra night guests. Wowed everyone who saw it blow up easily and deflate just as easily, and slept like a baby on this most comfortable queen sized bed. March 23, 2015
Great bed! We are very happy with the quality of this bed. It's very easy to set up and take down. A 200 lb man slept on It for 2 nights and it stayed firm the whole time. We did air it out for a weekend before using it due to the strong smell of plastic when first opened. We highly recommend this bed! March 16, 2015
Terrific purchase I purchased the inflatable EZ bed and I LOVE it! It will be our "traveling bed" to set up whenever we need it! It is so simple to operate and comfortable as well. March 3, 2015
awesome for families that move often! I purchased two beds (queen & twin). My family moves often, first with military and now with civilian job. Being able to have a bed after the movers drive away with all your everyday belongings is wonderful. Especially when all your things are going to be in storage for a few months! I set the twin up for my son and the queen for us. Used our own sheets. Easy to use and maintain. Will be equally easy to put in SUV and drive to next assignment thanks to wheeled storage bag. The added bonus will be having them available for guests later on. :) March 2, 2015
Our Guests Slept Well! This bed works exactly as advertised - very easy set-up and take-down. The adult guests reported that the bed was very comfortable (four nights) and stable. It is heavy (king size), but it rolls easily for storage. I am delighted to be able to offer a decent bed to my guests. Couldn't be happier. February 25, 2015

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Essential EZ Bed has been a very popular product for many years now. It is rare for this product to have breakage in the legs. To prevent breakage, we recommend that you ensure the case is completely unzipped before inflating, and that the bed has adequate space to fully expand when inflating.

Answer:
Yes, we used regular twin sheets on this bed for my son using the bed at college. While they don't wrap completely under the mattress since attached to the frame (and we were a little curious how this would work) there is enough of a curve around the mattress to hold the fitted sheet in place. The flat sheet will not tuck in under the mattress, so it hangs over the bed - we just folded the end under the comforter so it didn't hang out.

Not bad on it's own (best air mattress I've had) but with the topper is more like a real bed. Topper is pretty easy to store. I fold ours (queen size) into thirds then roll it up, wrap with a bungee cord and store in large duffel bag with the sheets and pillows.

Answer:
A topper is recommended. My son using it at college finds the bed very comfortable. We found a 3" topper for much less on a discount site and it works well with sheets and all on the bed. The topper stays on the bed, and can be rolled up when the bed is stored. The bed itself folds back into the self contained storage unit - great for moving around with the rollers, and depending on size of bed the size is provided by frontgate. The foam topper rolled up size will depend on the thickness you purchase. Ours at 3" for a twin bed can fold into a roll approximately 20-24" across.

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. It may be possible to patch the leak and still successfully use the mattress. We recommend wiping the mattress down with a solution of soap and water. You will see bubbles start to form at the site of the leak. If you are still unable to locate the leak, you can contact our Product Specialist department at 800-537-8484 for assistance in purchasing a replacement mattress.

Answer:
I also have a leak. I found it . If you look at the bed from the bottom it is on the left underside by the top of the front foot.
I blew it up had my husband lay on it, while my son got underneath to listen to where the leak was. You can hear it. We plan on patching it tomorrow.

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. You may notice a smell coming from the bed when it is first opened. The smell should dissipate once it has an opportunity to "air out".

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. We recommend wiping the mattress down with a solution of soapy water. You will see bubbles begin to form at the source of the leak.

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The pump must be manually shut off once the mattress has completely inflated. It does not need to remain plugged in to maintain air pressure.

I have a guest arriving that will be using this bed daily for several months. Does this pose a problem other than possibly needing to inflate occasionally?
Also, because it will be set up for months, I would like to use a bed skirt to cover the legs. Is it possible to somehow be able to use a bed skirt?

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Essential EZ Bed is intended for occasional use, rather than daily use. While it would not be possible to use a typical bed skirt with the EZ Bed, our EZ Bed Sheet Set (sold separately) features a fitted sheet with attached bed skirt.
