Estate Pre-lit Window Swag 3.8 5 14 16
Window swag I purchased two of these last year. I only bought one and then ordered another. I do think that they are overpriced, but they looked great. They were fine the whole seaon, and I put them up the first part of December. October 24, 2011
Nice Swag But... I ordered two of the swags right after Christmas. They were a great buy particularly because they had gone on sale. The only problem I had was that one of the swags wouldn't light. The instructions on the individual cords showed a plug that had a compartment where a fuse could be replaced in the event the lights shorted out. Unfortunately the string of lights on the swags I received were not as pictured on the instructions. So if one of the strands is or goes out, I have to replace the entire thing. I'm glad I didn't order these at full price or I would not have been very happy. As it stands now, when the lights fail, I'll have to decide if I want to bother restringing them. Other than that, when they work, they're beautiful. January 11, 2012
Window Swag Unfortunately I had to return both. The swag was too small for our opening even though the window measures 30". Problem? It's thick in the middle and very sparse on the ends so it looks small. Also, unless you have a direct connection in your window sill, you have to run two extension cords across your front entrance. Not attractive... December 14, 2012
Very disappointed I also bought these last year, a lot of them, put them out this year in my second story window boxes and had to take them back down right away... way too chinzy, lights were just askew with no rhyme or reason to them and they looked absolutely ridiculous up there. I figure I'll need to get a whole bunch of my own branches and boughs, throw these in as an accent and hope they work next year... not getting my hopes up though, they're so much better looking in the picture online than in person, even after a lot of "fluffing" December 22, 2011
Big disappointment I bought these swags at their store and used them twice. I got them out of their boxes this year to put outside and hardly any of the lights were working. I changed the fuses which was quite a chore and nothing helped. It was next to impossible to try to find burned out bulbs so I thought I'd try to switch out the string of lights. That was impossible! I am heart broken that I only got two seasons out of these. Don't waste your money! December 2, 2011
Buyer Beware I purchased this item last season and was really looking forward to displaying it in my upper level flower box. The lights that hang down as well as the lights on the greenery were too few. The draping lights were unevenly spaced and really couldn't be repositioned. I added an extra string of multi-colored lights due to how very boring it looked. It quit working before the Christmas season was completely over. I should have called ( I still may) as I was soooo disappointed. Had many difficulties with all the lighted items I purchased last year. Very unfortunate since they looked so nice in the catalog and on the internet. October 15, 2011

Thank you for your interest in the Estate Pre-lit Garland. We apologize for the trouble you are experiencing with the lights. We recommend testing the outlet and the fuses in the garlands, which are located at the end of the plug.

Answer:
Only 18 feet of garland can be connected, which would be three 6' garlands or two 9' garlands.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The greenery is plugged into outlets behind the piece. The "slack" part of the cord has been wired in place so that it does not hang out beyond the greenery.

if I connect 1 6ft garland with a 9ft garland, will the seam (or connected spot) be apparent or will it be seamless? I want enough garland to span a 6ft door with a couple swags and then 18" at each side but don't want to do so if the connection point is noticeable as that spot will be off-center.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The Estate Garland does have a hook at one end so that you can connect the garlands together, which helps to provide a continuous appearance.

We had 2 garlands a swag and a wreath outside our house this year and noticed our fuse getting very warm. Would like to know the wattage and amperage of each so we can determine if the load was too large and how we might redistribute.

Additionally, one of the strings in the swag went out. I managed to jostle it a bit and it relit but can you confirm if the strings are able to stay lit is one bulb dies? If not, how do you find the bad bulb?
Thank you.

Answer:
Thank you for your patience while we contacted the vendor to obtain an answer to your question regarding this item. We were able to confirm that each bulb contains .4 watts. The 9' garland features 350 lights = 140 watts
The 5' vertical spray features 200 lights = 80 watts
The 30" wreath features 250 lights = 100 watts.
It is not recommended to plug more than 600 bulbs into a single outlet as this can cause the fuses to overheat or blow.
The lights are made so if one of the bulbs burns out, the rest of the strand will remain lit. However, if one of the bulbs is broken, loose or missing, or one of the fuses has gone bad, it will cause the entire strand to go out.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this item. Garland can be hung using nails or mantle hooks - which can be purchased at a local hardware store, depending on where and how you want to hang the item. We also offer door hangers to drap garland around a door frame for both single doors (item 36499) and double doors (36500).
