Side Mount Umbrella

Love it!
This umbrella is awesome! I really like how the top is able to swivel so the winds don't send it toppling over.

Beautiful Sturdy Umbrella
Putting it together was the challenge. Definitely requires two pretty strong people. Right after it was assembled we experienced 50 mile an hour winds for two days. The umbrella never budged! What a relief. We love it.

Item arrived quickly and seems to be of good quality. Can't judge the durability at this time.
Directions to assemble are incomplete, but it was easy enough to figure out.

not as expected
I was not able to make this umbrella work. I could not get it to extend high enough over the table. Returned it to Frontgate.

very good quality and functional.
However we had a couple of mishaps with the purchase. First, the packaging of the umbrella was in pieces when we received it (partially destroyed)
although the contents appeared in good condition. Second, the instructions in the package were inappropriate. Therefore, to put the thing together was an unnecessary burdensome task. I wish they had included "instructions" .

would like to have the option of a ground mount.by core drilling the concrete in different locations the 2 umbrellas i purchased could be moved to allow for different furniture configurations and eliminate those ugly and cumbersome bases,4 strategicly placed holes would allow for total coverage throughout the day.

Side-mount 11' Umbrella
The umbrella is everything we expected, and I' m sure we'll enjoy it very much. One small glitch during assembly; a key step was omitted, and a part(coller) was not identified in the parts list. After considerable head-scratching and a few false starts, everything went together and it works just fine.

I have not opened it yet as we will be going on vacation soon, and summer has not started. My experiences with frontgate have been exceptional. Even when an error has been made, frontgate takes immediate steps to correct it. You have a customer for life! I did try the umbrella at the store and love to easy mechanisms. Thank you!

The assembly instructions have a lot of room for improvement. Too many short comeings to inumerate, and I have put a lot of assembly required item together.

great umbrella but received outdated directions
the umbrella itself is great, but we unfortunately received old directions & ended up damaging the umbrella pretty badly when attempting to assemble. called frontgate & they were very understanding & sent us out a replacement (along with the updated directions) no questions asked.

Answer:
You may need a ladder.First, close the umbrella canopy and move it as close as possible to the tubular arm.
Place the cover on top of the umbrella canopy (the zipper should close downward and the ties should be at the bottom)..
Move the cover down, while enclosing the umbrella and the tubular arm, close the zipper.
Tie the ties around the bottom of the cover. Click on picture below to see the cover on the umbrella.

How do you make it tilt?
This umbrella tilts some when the wind blows but I have had it a month and have not found a way to secure it into a tilted position to block the late afternoon sun. How do you make it tilt?

Answer:
A little late for this... but you need to decide first which way you want to block the sun before you place the umbrella and fill it up with the 200 lbs of sand. The umbrella only tilts one way and that is with the back to the tubular base.Extend the umbrella and open the canopy like you normally do (placing the crank handle in Socket A (upper hole), extending all the way and then in Socket B (lower hole), opening the canopy all the way.
Then to tilt it, go back to Socket A (upper hole) and using the crank handle move it counter-clockwise until you achieve the desired tilt.
Click on "Overview" (Umbrella, website) to see last sentence "View simple...", instruction manual, page 4 for complete instructions.
