Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Safety First When purchasing a ladder, safety is my primary consideration, but I also need a ladder I can move and set up easily by myself. The High Reach 5-Step Ladder more than met my expectations. It's light and easy to move yet very stable when set up because of the locking feature. Steps are wide enough and the bar at the top adds stability when using the higher steps. Highly recommended. November 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Handy!! Fantastic for me! Light weight and tall enough for me to change AC filters on my high ceilings. Great quality! Worth the price! September 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent 5-step High Reach Ladder This is a very high quality step ladder that provides a bar to hold when standing on the top step. The top step is about the equivalent of a seven (7) foot step ladder. It is very light and easy to move and store as well as very stable. September 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by High Reach 5 Step Ladder Loved the 5 Step Ladder. The ladder is light, easy to carry and move around, sturdy, and stores easily. March 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ladder This ladder is solid but light weight. It looks great and its design with a large top step makes it easy to reach high places. Great ladder. November 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional Product! My husband just unpacked our High Reach 5-step ladder and it is everything we hoped it would be.....sturdy, attractive, lightweight, and it reaches up to the top ledge above our kitchen cabinets! There are wheels on the bottom to aid in mobility and the color of the aircraft grade aluminum looks right at place in our kitchen! Finally, I can reach as high as I need, without teetering on the edge of my granite countertops! Would purchase this all over again if needed! December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this ladder! This is the perfect ladder for indoor chores. It's light weight, good looking and also very sturdy. I can easily carry it up/down the stairs making it extremely functional. I've been wanting this ladder for over a year; I'm glad I finally made the investment. It is well worth it! December 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product This high reach 5-step ladder solves the problem of elderly users who may not have perfect balance, and provides a safe way of reaching high items. I use this ladder to trim my very large Bougainvillea tree. It is also light enough to carry it outside to my patio area. November 1, 2014

This is about the Five-step High Reach Ladder (141755)

The dimensions are listed as 47-1/2"W x 24-1/4"D x 86"H, 21 lbs.

Is the 86"H the height of the top step or is it the top of the handle? What is the height of the top step if it isn't 86"H?

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in the High Reach 3-Step Ladder. There is a latch behind the ladder tray with pins that you pinch together to open. You need to pinch it together very hard because the pins inside are very long so they need get pinched so the ladder can open or fold up. When you are pinching the latch you should be able to grab the tray to open or fold up. There are arrows on the back of the latch to show where to pinch it closed.

Answer:
Had the same problem when I first received the 5-step ladder. At the top of the platform there are two black buttons that you squeeze together to release the legs. They are about 6 inches apart and were not obvious to me at first.

squeeze the handle on the non-hinge side of the top step. Squeezing releases the 2 small metal posts that lock the ladder in place while closed and open

Answer:
The color of the top platform is charcoal..and blends well with the color of the aluminum. It's an attractive piece that I have no qualms about leaving in plain view, as I use a ladder daily in my kitchen. As far as stepping on the top step...I would do it, even though my husband has cautioned me not to!
