2013 Fall Home Tour: Raymond Winery
Harvest season in Napa Valley. It’s an enchanting time. For our November edition, our team set out to capture its splendor on film and wound up captivated by indulgent hospitality of Raymond Vineyards, served up by the proprietor himself, Jean-Charles Boisset.
The purpose of our visit was to preview one of the participating wineries of our new Frontgate Estate Wine Club (strictly in the name of market research, of course).
From the moment we stepped onto the Boisset Family Estate, we were taken with the historical aspects of this Napa vineyard as well as with its unconventional flair. From the Theater of Nature – a two-acre exhibit in biodynamic farming – to the opulent “Red Room” – a velvet-ensconced temple to the wine tasting experience – we encountered innovation and dedication that deepened our appreciation for and knowledge of the art of wine making. At the end of the work day, we savored an epicurean feast sourced from the estate’s private gardens and prepared by Boisset’s renowned director of cuisine, Michel Cornu.
Boisset’s creative vision and deep respect for the environment has made Raymond Vineyards a dynamic and popular destination known for wildly creative tasting and educational opportunities. Watch our video and you will see the vitality. Best yet, the same behind-the-scenes commentary and exclusive experiences will be available to the lucky winner of our Wine Country Sweepstakes. If an unforgettable, insider’s trip to Napa Valley piques your interest, register for the Wine Country Sweepstakes and we’ll see you there!
