It begins with a spark.
Our design teams spend hours combing the markets and cities of the world for the next great idea. When inspiration strikes, and they begin to create a collection, one affirmation serves as a guiding principle above all others …
There is no detail too small.
As the great Charles Eames said, “The details are not the details. They make the design.” This statement serves as our north star, guiding our product designers, as well as the skilled craftsmen who bring our products to life.
Our commitment to quality craftsmanship influences each step of the construction. Hand-carved wooden molds are pressed into sand casts to form sturdy aluminum frames. Powdercoating is meticulously hand-applied in a multi step process to achieve rich, dimensional finishes. And subtle nuances, like hand-done distressing and antiquing, give our products an authentic heirloom look and feel. It’s an artisanal process, and we approach the creation of each collection with the same thoughtful approach.
