"In Sept 2008 Hurricane IKE struck our home in Galveston. We live on the water on the lake and found ourselves flooded with about 24 inches of water in the house, hurricane force winds, and total damage to our home. The gardens were washed away, and even large cement blocks from landscaping were hurled into the sea.
While we were cleaning up one evening, I noticed lights coming on along the edge of the patio overlooking the water. Sure enough, it was the "drive way" lighting I purchased from you to demarcate the edge. Over the past six months as we have cleaned, rebuilt, and tried to reclaim our house, I have left them in place AND they still light up brightly at sunset each evening ... all four of them.
Talk about quality. You guys mean for things to last, don't you. A category 2 hurricane with category 4 flooding that wiped out of city of 60,000 and closed down our medical school and its hospitals. But, those light just keep on glowing.
They have become a symbol for us [at our home in Galveston]. We'll get back eventually to where we were."
