As the winner of The Ultimate Fiji Getaway Presented by Frontgate and Conde Nast Traveler, Derek won 2 business class tickets to Fiji on Air Pacific Airways, 7 nights at the Fiji Beach Resort and Spa, and BMW transfers to and from the hotel and airport. He also won something to remind him of his trip when he gets home: A one-year supply of Fiji water delivered to his Canandaigua, New York home.
When he entered, winning the contest was the last thing on Derek's mind. "I had no anticipation of winning," he says, "you don't expect to win something [like that]." In fact, even after hearing he won, it took a while to sink in. "My first reaction was disbelief...it was quite a shock."
When Derek was over the shock of winning, he started to think about his upcoming island getaway. For Derek, the main draw of Fiji is its natural beauty.
"I've heard it's beautiful," he says, "crystal blue waters and sand beaches." He says he is looking forward to enjoying the beach and viewing Fiji's picturesque mountains.
As a Frontgate customer, Derek has always been impressed by his Frontgate experiences. "The first thing [I notice] is the quality of the products," he says. "I've always liked the products, and customer service was always great."
