Top of the Line
While I am still waiting for my remodel to be unveiled, I have checked out the stools and they are absolutely stunning. Didn't want to pay this much for barstools,but in the end, as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Beautiful. Not a bit disappointed.

Marco Woven back Bar Stool
Beautiful bar stools! Very well made. I have not had them long, so can't comment on how well they will hold up - but so far they appear to be very sturdy. The leather on the seats is very soft - and as such very delicate. You'll need to be careful about pets on them, or brads on your pants that could cause damage.

A little disappointed
I am a little disappointed in one detail on these bar stools. In the catalog that I ordered them from, the description stated that there was a brass plate that protected the wood on the foot rest. However, when the bar stools arrived, there was not anything protecting the wood on the foot rest. Since these are pretty expensive stools, I felt like the catalog misrepresented the quality.

Paint Touch-Ups on Leather!
Ordered 5. 3 have all types of scratches on leather. Several scratches appear to have been covered with paint to match the "leather." Some of "leather" color flaked off like paint coming off a painted surface when tape has been pulled off. How does color flake off real leather? Frontgate Customer Service requested photos which I sent immediately. Have yet to hear from them. A few thousand dollars - and no response! Beautiful chair from the back - damaged leather.

Having read your question, I checked out the foot rest when I received my stools. You really have to get down and touch the foot rest to know that there is one. It has been finished the same color as the wood, but it is there. Understated, classic. You won't be disappointed.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
