Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this Light This is one smart product. I hate groping in the dark to the kitchen and bathroom. Now I'll purchase more because I just love this light. May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Motion Sensor Zenlight Awesome for my Bathroom. Bright. Works well. I love it! However, I thought it was a little too bright in parents small kitchen - so i used the Sentina motion sensor for there which I also think is fabulous. December 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish Motion Sensor Nightlight This is a very stylish nightlight. It has a single LED lit when it is dark and there is no motion. When it senses motion, it lights up very brightly. How long it stays bright can be set to several different periods. The rice paper diffuser softens the light from the very bright LEDs. This is perfect for lighting up my path when I enter my Media room (no windows, so always dark). February 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zenlight These are about as good as they come. Last year I bought 4 and have since added several since. The quality is second to none, bright, automatic and practical. FrontGate's products are hard to beat-anywhere! December 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice motion sensing night light Perfect for kitchen. One LED stays on providing soft barely noticeable light. Motion makes other LEDs come on providing brighter but still soft light. April 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Serene and Mystical I love this Zen light. It's added security in a personal touch as well as being a guide light. You can't go wrong. I now have 5 Zen lights. Kids get a kick out of it when they pass by and get lit up through the motion sensor. Just an added bonus to see them smile. February 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by FG's Quality Over a lifetime I like everyone else have had and use nite lights for our kids and ourselves in strategic places to circumnavigate our homes in the dark. FG's Zenlight is by far the best response in performance and quality plus on the luxurious side the most effective in design night lite in it's category. Bar none, love it so I bought 4 more! Recommend it.... January 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful Light Purchased for Mom as a night light in bathroom. She loves it. Gives soft glow & comes on when you approach it. The only downside - it does not stay on for more than 1 minute. Other than that, it is the best motion light I have ever used. I have purchased more for Mom for different parts of her home & purchased some for my home also. Great product! August 28, 2011

Answer:
They remain dim. If the light in the room or hallway is bright the Zenlight senses the light level they remain dim eventhough motion is detected. They only increase intensity if the light level is lower or non existent. They are "smart" lights.

Answer:
Thank you for your patience while we contacted the vendor to obtain an answer to your question regarding this item. We were able to confirm that this item is able to screen the light conditions. When there is an ample supply of light, even when motion is detected, the light will not turn on.

Answer:
No. If there is sufficient ambient light, motion will not activate the nightlight. However, a single LED will remain lit as long as the unit is switched on. There is just a soft glow with the single LED lit.
