Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great float Another great purchase from Frontgate. We have had many of these floats over the years from other companies, this was the best. Never disappointed with anything we have purchased from Frontgate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Float for Every Family Member From baby bear to Pappa bear--this float does it all! Is is strurdy and still very comfortable. It is wide enough for a large man (hubby is 6'2' weighing in at 210lbs). it is long enough and wide enough without being "too big". The kids fit, too---and can paddle everywhere. It is soft and the head portion comfortable and not "too" high. It does not strain the neck. Love this purchase!

What is the difference in the original ultimate and the signature ultimate pool floats?

Asked by: hartphyll
I assume thickness. I got the original and am disappointed in the quality. A bit too flimsy for the price. I wish I had gotten the signature b/c I am assuming it is more firm and better quality.

I see this resists punctures w/90.5 lbs of force - so I gather this is durable enough to have two small dogs on? (nails won't puncture it?)

Storage for winter?

Can they be stored outside in a container? Do they need to be stored inside to prevent damage? If they are stored together (I have 4), should they have some type of covering between them to prevent sticking together? Thank you in advance.
Asked by: FGateFan
I think as long as they are covered and not exposed to the elements, they can be stored anywhere. I have stored mine outside in the shed during the winter and outside on top of the shed (exposed) during the summer for convenience. As far as them sticking together, I have noticed that when I stack them behind my pool house in the sun, they do stick together a bit. However, they seem to pull apart just fine. I've never had them tear while pulling them apart. I'm a little lazy with my floats in the summer and could probably store them better and have them last even longer if I separated them with an old sheet or something. So I guess my answer wouldn't hurt to separate them, but I never have and they lasted 4 summers. Hope that helps

Why would the float's rubber coating flake off and crack.

We have had 4 floats for just over 2 years. And the rubber coating is cracking and pealing off. We live in GA. during the winter we cover them so they do not get wet or freeze.
