Outdoor Dream Candles
I purchased one of these candles to give it a try. I was amazed, it really looks like a real burning candle. It has the same brightness, same color, same flickering motions as a real candle.
It turns itself on every evening for 5 hours and then turns off until the next evening. You can set the time you want it to turn on by simply pointing the remote control at the candle and pushing the on button twice at the specific time you want it to turn on. If you want it to turn on at 7pm, then at 7pm, you point the remote at the candle and push the on button twice. Very simple. You can turn it on or off with the remote control at any time you want to. I have owned the candle for about two months now and it still has the original set of two D flashlight batteries in it and is still working perfectly. The batteries last a long time. If you like candles in the evening, get some, you will really enjoy them.
One other thing, I found some other Luminare candles on the internet that looked similar but I read the reviews of the other internet candles and people were having regrets and said that the cheaper ones they bought elsewhere were junk and that they wished that they had bought them from Frontgate where they bought their first set, because the Frontgate candles are well made and work perfectly, no problems. Get the Frontgate candles if you buy some.

Great Purchase
Love the candles-true they don't look real up-close but who will be standing right next to them. Using them at the entrance of our home on stone pilars. The only bad part is the instructions on how to use the timer is not clear. We pushed the botton once thinking that was the timer but it stayed on all night. Pushed the botton twice and again it stayed on all night. However, if you push it three times it does go off. Need better instructions to use timer.

Dream candles
These are the most amazing realistic candles on the market! They look beautiful in our backyard and garden area.Purchased the lanterns along with them. The candles are wonderful in the house also.Didn't have enough real candles when we had a power outage last week. I remembered I had my dream candles outside.Brought four of them in the house. They worked better than the real ones and much safer .Left them on all night.Thank you again Frontgate for bringing such a wonderful product to our attention.

It looks like a real candle!
I purchased this item because I had been using a night light in my guest bathroom for years and wanted something prettier to light the room, this candle did just that. While it doesn't look like a real wax candle up close it works wonderfully in a tinted pillar candle holder. While on, it flickers just like a real candle without the mess of wax or a fire hazard. I use the timer (although the instructions don't match the switch on the candle) I figured it out pretty quickly. I gave it a 4 out 5 since it doesn't look like a real candle up close and the timer instructions were confusing. Great purchase overall! My husband even likes it!

Dream outdoor candles
Love at first sight....
I have been looking for battery candles that were not made of wax, due to the fact I wanted to put them on our boat. These candles look so real and won't melt in extreme heat.....I even purchased them for my nephews wedding shower, they were a big hit!!

I purchased 4 of these candles in two sizes. I am using them inside and outdoors. They are lovely!! The remote works from 30 feet away...having fun surprising people with that! LOL!

outdoor dream candles
Just love the flameless candles. The remote control is such a great idea, and makes their use even easier. They have spoiled me as there is no messy wax cleanup. It is also neat that a breezy day has no effect, including indoors near ceiling fans. On a regular basis, the timer setting is great. It could act as a night light that goes out by itself after you have fallen asleep.

These candles are not like regular luminara candles. The bottom has a button instead of a switch and there are no instructions on how to set the timer. Can you please give me instructions.

Answer:
Dear DPratt,I have had my Dream Candles for a while now; as I remember, as long as you put batteries in your candles properly, you don't need to push the button on the candle bottom; just place your candles upright, and aim your remote (any Dream remote works with all Dream candles at once) at them and it/they all turn on at once. Same for the off button. The only thing to watch for is that the remote doesn't seem to work through glass, so you have to open your sliding door or window if you are inside, and aim directly at the candles. It will work through a screen, though.
Hope this helps! I love my Dream Candles, and all my friends want to get some now.

HiI had the same problem. I figured it out by clicking it a few times and noticing the 3rd click made it turn off, so the first click must be the timer and second was the "on". I had to wait until the time of the day I wanted the candle to turn on before I clicked it once to "on/timer". Its works now but I agree its a pain to figure out. Just remember when you turn it on to the timer note if it was the 1st click, otherwise you will find it still on past the 5 hours;). Worse case you get it wrong the first time, you'll get right the second time

I have the same candle. To set the timer you push the little green button the bottom of the candle to power up (turn on) the candle. When you have pushed the button, the candle should be on (lighted). To set the timer, you take the remote control which should have four different buttons on it:
- Green ON button
- Red OFF button
- Black 5H button for "5 Hours", and a
- 10H button for "10 Hours"
After turning on the candle with the button on the bottom of the candle, point the remote control at the candle and press the 5H button to tell the candle to stay on for 5 hours. The candle will blink off and back on one time to confirm the 5 hour setting.
If you want it to stay on for 10 hours, press the 10H button and the candle will blink on and off two times to confirm the 10 hour setting.
You can turn the candle on or off with the remote. You can power the candle completely off, i.e. turn off the batteries with the little green button on the bottom of the candle. This turns the entire candle off, it won't respond to the remote control when you turn it off with the button on the bottom of the candle.
To power up the candle again, push the little green button on the bottom of the candle, it will power up, be illuminated and will respond to commands from the remote control.
Good luck.

To set the time, slide power switch to the "timer" position. The candle will remain on for 5 hours from the time the candle was placed in "timer" mode, and will then turn off for 19 hours. It will repeat the same cycle daily. To reset the timer, slide the power switch to the "off" position and then back to "timer" at the desired start time.Answer:
I believe the directions said It will burn for 5 hours and then turn on again 19 hours after it shuts off. So I am assuming when you set timer to on and leave the candle it will shut off 5 hours after you set it and turn on again 19 hours later. I haven't tried it....having too much fun using remote...and want to preserve batteries. Good luck! Enjoy.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
