Outdoor Dream Candles

So real you can feel the heat!
As I have three cats who enjoy free access to my deck, and are always investigating everything on my table, having battery-operated candles, indoor and out, makes me feel much safer, for them and for me.
After returning previous outdoor candles that looked very fake, I purchased 3 Dream Candles for my outdoor deck. They are attractive and ingenious, with the wavering "flames" so realistic you imagine real heat from the burning wick. It's wonderful that I can leave them outside through any weather, and turn them on and off with the handy remote. I liked them so much, I bought another two for my buffet table.

So convenient!
It looks so real, no one even guesses that it's battery operated! Perfect in the pineapple hurricane lantern!

Wonderful Ambience
We love the look of candles but as our home is 120+ years old, we hesitate to light them - especially when we know we might have to leave the room. We have been searching for realistic looking flameless candles for YEARS and finally saw these in use in a designer home. SOLD. '
We have had no problems with battery life or product durability. We also think they do not look fake or cheap. kudos!

Best when viewed through a lantern
I agree with several of the other reviews about the small screws for battery access, the range of the remote control, and the unlit appearance of the candles, but they look fantastic when on at night especially in a lantern or a large votive holder. The realistic appearance of the flame makes this a 5 star purchase.

Excellent Product!
I had already purchased the indoor version of these candles to use during the holidays. I was very pleased to see the outdoor candles an option. They are WONDERFUL and make having candles outdoors so easy and beautiful. The look is realistic and the plastic covering keeps them from melting or losing their shape when out in the heat and sun. We loved them during the holidays and now can love them on summer evenings! Another excellent Frontgate product.

Best outdoor candles
I bought several for the outdoors, love the look however the vendor should send a tiny screw driver that fits the screws that need to be removed to insert the two D batteries, very hard to get the tiny screws out !

good purchase
I love the looks of this candle. The flame looks so real hanging over my picnic table under a trellis. The remote was suppose to work as far out as 12 -15 feet. Unfortunately, I have to put it within a few inches of the base of the candle because I have it suspended in a wrought iron lantern. Apparently, the metal filagree blocks the remote signal. Something you might want to consider if you plan to use it in this way. Am pleased with the amount of light that emits from it.

Best Purchase!
These candles are amazing. They come beautifully packaged so you know right away that the quality is there! They are expensive, but so worth it if you want to use candles outdoors. They do not look impressive at first, but when turned on, we couldn't believe how authentic they look! We will be buying these from now on. Plus, you get a remote with each candle! How easy is that!

Candles a disappointment
I use alot of candles both inside and out and was
very excited about not trying to keep them lighted
outside or worry about them burning something (like
Christmas greens) inside. However, they were so
fake looking that I felt that problem outweight any of
the advantages.

Amazing!
These candles are as close to real flame appearance that you will ever find. The flame actually moves and flickers. Leave ot to Disney to create such an amazing product. Love Them!!!

Flameless candle
When on, the candle looks good from a distance, and the flickering "flame" is quite realistic. But when not on, it looks very artificial and plastic up close. Inserting the batteries is unnecessarily difficult--you have to first remove two of the tiniest screws I've ever seen, in order to detach the cover to the battery compartment. The only screwdriver I had that was small enough was made for eyeglass screws, but the microscrews on the candle have Phillips heads. I was able to remove them eventually, but this shouldn't be so hard!

Coolest candles Ever
Bought these remote control Candles and put them on top of a TV Untit in these beautiful big lanterns and wire candle holders, they look awesome when they are all lit up,, and since they are very high up it is very easy to use remote to turn off and on!! What a wonderful concept,, and also safe to use in the event I forget to turn off. I feel confident that there will not be any chance of starting a fire . My friends can't believe how real they look,, I LOVE these,,

These candles are not like regular luminara candles. The bottom has a button instead of a switch and there are no instructions on how to set the timer. Can you please give me instructions.

Answer:
Dear DPratt,I have had my Dream Candles for a while now; as I remember, as long as you put batteries in your candles properly, you don't need to push the button on the candle bottom; just place your candles upright, and aim your remote (any Dream remote works with all Dream candles at once) at them and it/they all turn on at once. Same for the off button. The only thing to watch for is that the remote doesn't seem to work through glass, so you have to open your sliding door or window if you are inside, and aim directly at the candles. It will work through a screen, though.
Hope this helps! I love my Dream Candles, and all my friends want to get some now.

HiI had the same problem. I figured it out by clicking it a few times and noticing the 3rd click made it turn off, so the first click must be the timer and second was the "on". I had to wait until the time of the day I wanted the candle to turn on before I clicked it once to "on/timer". Its works now but I agree its a pain to figure out. Just remember when you turn it on to the timer note if it was the 1st click, otherwise you will find it still on past the 5 hours;). Worse case you get it wrong the first time, you'll get right the second time

Answer:
I have the same candle. To set the timer you push the little green button the bottom of the candle to power up (turn on) the candle. When you have pushed the button, the candle should be on (lighted). To set the timer, you take the remote control which should have four different buttons on it:
- Green ON button
- Red OFF button
- Black 5H button for "5 Hours", and a
- 10H button for "10 Hours"
After turning on the candle with the button on the bottom of the candle, point the remote control at the candle and press the 5H button to tell the candle to stay on for 5 hours. The candle will blink off and back on one time to confirm the 5 hour setting.
If you want it to stay on for 10 hours, press the 10H button and the candle will blink on and off two times to confirm the 10 hour setting.
You can turn the candle on or off with the remote. You can power the candle completely off, i.e. turn off the batteries with the little green button on the bottom of the candle. This turns the entire candle off, it won't respond to the remote control when you turn it off with the button on the bottom of the candle.
To power up the candle again, push the little green button on the bottom of the candle, it will power up, be illuminated and will respond to commands from the remote control.
Good luck.

Answer:
To set the time, slide power switch to the "timer" position. The candle will remain on for 5 hours from the time the candle was placed in "timer" mode, and will then turn off for 19 hours. It will repeat the same cycle daily. To reset the timer, slide the power switch to the "off" position and then back to "timer" at the desired start time.Answer:
I believe the directions said It will burn for 5 hours and then turn on again 19 hours after it shuts off. So I am assuming when you set timer to on and leave the candle it will shut off 5 hours after you set it and turn on again 19 hours later. I haven't tried it....having too much fun using remote...and want to preserve batteries. Good luck! Enjoy.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
