Rated 5 out of 5 by Outdoor Clock with Thermometer Beautiful bronze clock! Love it! Gave as a gift to my daughter and she was thrilled. Great price and a wonderful clock to hang outdoors. May 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Oxford Outdoor Clock Really nice clock, looks great and very happy with purchase. Easy to hang and adds a nice touch to any patio. May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Outdoor Clock As soon as I opened the box, I knew I would love this clock. It is attractive and the build quality is exceptional. It looks wonderful hanging on the wall in my backyard. May 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great looking clock Fast shipping. Clock looks amazing. Just waiting for the weather to change so I can hang it up by the pool! May 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by BEAUTIFUL AND SUBSTANTIAL very nice copper clock. Has a finish on it to protect the copper. We have ours under a protected roof over our deck so it should protect the copper from turning quickly. Numerals are easy to see from a distance. Keeps time correctly. We did have to set the thermometer and humidity by turning the knobs on the back of the clock ( easily done) when we got it by looking at another thermometer we already had. once we did that the clock settled down and keep perfect temps. It's a beautiful clock and looks expensive. We are very pleased with this clock. Hoping to get a lot of years out of it. I would purchase again without hesitation. April 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Patio Addition I am very impressed with the Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer. I looks great, the size is perfect and can be read easily from a distance, and it keeps great time. March 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful clock for outdoors My review is really for the terrific customer service I received from Frontgate. I had purchased another clock, returned it, and months later the replacement stopped keeping time. I was out of the warranty by then, and when I contacted customer service to ask if there were other complaints about the clock, they gave me a refund for the purchase price. I used that credit to immediately purchase the new clock and paid just a few dollars more. I am very happy with the new clock. Thank you Frontgate. You stand behind your puroducts. March 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Oxford Outdoor Clock I had an outdoor clock from Frontage that lasted for 12 years, so when it stopped working, I went back to Frontage to get a replacement, When I hung this new clock on my covered deck against the brick wall -- it looked spectacular ! It's very easy to read the time as well as the temp & humidity -- better than the old clock. March 22, 2016

Answer:
On the back of the clock, both the thermometer and hygrometer come through to a small black disc, about the size of a spice jar lid. One can rotate these to "set" the respective readings. Beware, however...these are NOT EVER going to be particularly accurate...just consider them a "trend".

Answer:
Both the temperature and humidity gauges on the Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer can be adjuested by gently rotating the back of the hygrometer movement on the back of the unit slowly in either direction until the correct humidity/temperature is shown on the dial. If you have recently moved the clock to a new location, it may take several hours for it to correctly adjust.

AND NEVER WILL! One can adjust it by turning the black disc on the back, but the thermometer is affected by the temperature of the wall, etc., and it is just a rudimentary thermometer at best. It's "OK", but more for trends than cooking! :)

According to the manual - "you should always allow a period of several hours for stabilization before determining whether it is reading accurately. Should you determine that an adjustment of the thermometer or hygrometer is needed, this can be achieved by gently rotating the back of the thermometer or hygrometer movement on the back of the unit slowly in either direction until the correct reading is shown on the dial."

When we removed from box it was 60 degrees and 38% Rh. It has been outside for over 3 hours and hasn't moved. My other outside thermometer says it is 78 degrees. Do I need to do something to back go clock? I did add a battery so the clock works. HELP please. It just arrived today.

We had to turn the back knobs for temp/humidity several times then it finally kicked in and worked fine. Use another thermometer you know is correct to set it. At first I thought it was not working then after turning the knobs several times it started working properly and has kept temp/humidity spot on.

I bought the clock that is similar to this but has numbers. I cannot locate it anymore on the website nor can I find my old email confirmation that I ordered it. Anyway, how long should the batteries last? We've only had it for a few months, less than 5 months, and I've already replaced the batteries twice. I just changed them two weeks ago and today the clock was dead again.

Thank you for your interest in the Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer. The batteries should be changed at least annually, but the battery life depends on the type of batteries that are used. We recommend using lithium batteries, especially in cold weather.

Answer:
Battery life - 4 to 6 weeks MAX! Cheap movement, BIG hands, LITTLE battery.

Although I haven't done this, with a little ingenuity, a trip to Fry's, Best Buy, or the like, one COULD add a D-cell or cells in a battery tray, either squeezing the supply leads at the ends of an installed AA battery or soldering them to the battery clips themselves. The clock will weigh a pound or so more, but THAT should last 6 months or MORE!

Answer:
Not really! You CAN adjust the temperature by twisting the thermometer housing on the back. However, the thermometer WILL be influenced by sun, wind, and the "heat-sink" effect of the material (stucco, brick, etc.) behind the clock itself.

This AIN'T A NOAA thermometer!

Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. If the clock is placed in a more shaded area of the home and not in the direct sunlight it should withstand the heat. While the thermometer only reads up to 110 degrees, the material of the clock will withstand up to 150 degrees heat.
