Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer 4.4 5 442 468
Oxford Clock Looks Great Purchased it for my sunroom, so it is used indoors. Looks great. Looks much better than others I looked at. Clock face very distinctive, with raised numerals. Thermometer and humidity gauge appear to be accurate. Only problem, I wish it hooked up to atomic clock and adjusted itself with time changes. But changing the time is easy. Very lightweight, so you don't need a heavy hook to hang itl November 6, 2012
Oxford outdoor clock - great purchase We have this clock in our screened in porch for the last 3 years and absolutely love it. So, we've now purchased one for our beach house...need I say more! July 9, 2013
Lovely! Just a beautiful piece and statement. Looks gorgeous on our patio, elegant and useful all in one. Big thumbs up. July 22, 2013
Great looking B U T ... clock looks AWESOME, it is a great size and it looks like and EXPENSIVE clock...However, the minute hand actually gets caught on the "hand" on the humidity dial and stops the clock!! At first we thought the battery kept dying, then we realized what the problem was. Frustrating to constantly have to fix the time. May no longer be a problem now that the weather and humidity have dropped! November 9, 2012
Accuracy and durability This is my fifth and I hope last pool patio wall clock. I like its durable finish and the accuracy of the read-outs. It has well laid out visibility as well, enhancing the range of readability around the pool area. All my others have failed prematurely or have aged less than gracefully. April 26, 2013
Love this Clock Fell in love with this clock in the catalog and when price was lowered, could not resist any longer. Has been hanging on our "pool house" now for at least 2 months and is keeping perfect time and looks fabulous! June 13, 2013
Exceptional for the patio I am thrilled with the quality & workmanship of this outdoor clock. It is stunning...even better looking in person. A great addition to our patio! July 9, 2013
This Outdoor Clock is Lovely. The photograph in the magazine just doesn't do this clock justice. When we opened the box, the first thing we noticed, was just how beautiful this clock really is. The materials are top quality and the finish on the clock surround is stunning. We almost don't want to put it outside. This clock will add a touch of elegance to our backyard. Indrani Palm Springs CA. January 10, 2013
Outdoor Clock This clock is the perfect size for our outdoor patio. Seems to keep good time and the thermoneter is perfect. Looks great against the brick too! July 9, 2013
handsome clock This is a large, very visible clock for our outdoor deck and pool area. It is attractive and accurate time piece. We haven't calibrated the temp and humidity yet, so those readings may not be as accurate. June 14, 2013
outdoor clock We had purchased several years ago an outdoor clock from Frontgate that was not glass enclosed and it was constantly breaking down. This time we decided to go with a glass enclosed and so far this is running well and looks great. The thermometer part is a bit useless since we are often over 100 degrees but still overall a nice looking addition to our pool decor. Just hope that it works a long time. July 14, 2012
Looks great as a wall accent piece, Although clock is listed for outdoors, we purchased it for an indoor wall accent piece, and it looks great! No assembly was required, and the clock and temperature readings are accurate. Won't be able to check the humidity until the door and windows are open for the warmer weather. April 24, 2013
Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer This is the most classic outdoor clock I have ever seen. It replaced a clock we had that stopped working. I love its look and I can see it from almost every part of the yard amd the white background and the use of roman numerals makes it easy to see the time. I love it!!! April 30, 2013
Beautiful Clock Bought clock for my parents to hang outside on their patio. They thought it was almost too nice to have outside. lol They love it! July 10, 2013
motherinlaw this clock is a lovely addition to our patio area. The finish and face compliment the existing decor. Very happy with our purchase July 9, 2013
Functional and good looking This clock is easy to read even from a distance and is striking in its appearance. A worthwhile purchase to put out at my pool. July 9, 2013
Bad Timekeeper The Oxford outdoor clock we purchased from Frontgate has given us nothing but trouble. While it looks attractive, it has stopped working several times in the first two weeks. I have had to dismantle it twice and try to straighten out the hands because they keep sticking on each other and on the temperature and humidity hands. Overall we are very disappointed with this product. October 22, 2012
Outdoor electronics Couldn't be more happier with this clock. Mounted on brick, the appearance is striking. July 21, 2013
Outdoor clock/ Beautiful & accurate time. Just bought it so it is too early to say how it will perform over time. I will y Take it inside over the winter. July 2, 2013
Nice addition to our pool area We are very pleased with this clock in our pool area. It is under cover but can be seen in the pool and sitting area. July 9, 2013
More clock for the money than expected!!! Stylish large outdoor clock. Keeping excellent time. Very nice piece at a great price. July 18, 2013
You are going to love this clock We bought this clock to go in our lanai so that when we are in the pool we can see what the time and temperature is. This is beautiful enough to use as a decorting piece. The clock looks much more expensive than it is and has a beautiful finish. It is perfect for an outside area, decorative and functional. March 15, 2013
Great Looking Clock We love the looks of this clock, however the gage for temperature and humidity have not stablized. We are hoping that it can adjust to the high temperatures that we have in Phoenix. June 13, 2013
Love This Clock This is one classy clock! Our last outdoor clock was destroyed in a high wind storm, and this replacement improves on the last one. It is sturdy and ready to withstand Houston heat-- under our breezeway. Best of all, it is easy to read from anywhere around the pool. The bronze finish suits our Austin-stone exterior perfectly! And, we'll take this one down when the wind gets high.... August 2, 2012
Awesome Clock! Very pleased with this purchase. The clock looks great on my patio. The patio has 12 foot ceilings so the clock fits the scale of the space without looking lost. Would definitely recommend this to anyone! May 30, 2013
Very, very nice! This clock met my high expectations. Fantastic having the hygrometer for the hot & humid Fl summers! July 10, 2013
Great Clock Purchased for my husband, who likes to look outdoors on patio and see time/temp/humidity. Perfect! July 9, 2013
Decorative and Useful The size and price was right for this outdoor clock and most appealing was the temperature and humidity dials. It seems to be very accurate so far. I hope it can withstand the cold, snow and rain of fall and winter. Only time will tell, but I trust FrontGate to be great about a return if there is a problem after the winter season. Easy to hang. Looks wonderful. October 22, 2012
Looks Great Aesthetically it looks great. Easy to read dials. Temperature gauge is not always accurate - when temperatures get in the 80's and 90's it consistently reads about 5 degrees too hot June 5, 2013
Product looks great. The product that I recently purchased looks great. I bought it for my deck at my Florida House..Will not be using product until January, 2014 when I go to Florida. June 13, 2013

Answer:
It is sealed pretty well. The only place it could rust would be where the hands come together and/or are connected to the mechanism., and that would only happen over a long period of time. I had many years from a clock similar to this before it got any rust.

Answer:
I would assume it to be rust resistant since it appears to be plastic made to look like copper. I don't know how it would hold up if exposed to direct rain, but I think it would be okay on a covered porch like ours.

Answer:
It does not rust.. The Copper color just wears out after a year or so. The Facia separates from the unit, and the thermometer, and the hygrometer stopped working after one year.

Answer:
No, it is not rust-proof.

This type of material is generally quite susceptible to rusting in damp or humid climates.

Rust will quickly deverlope if this clock is scratched or chipped in any manner.

The inside bottom lip is the first place that you should expect rust to start developing if water can get behind your clock.

Rust can be slowed by annual respraying of a clear coat spray paint such as Rustoleum (either gloss or satin). With annual respraying, the closck should last five or more years.

Can't access it, but it is definitely not paper - it appears to be hard plastic. We've had ours hanging outside on a semi-covered porch for the past month and it's working great (in spite of all the rain we've been getting)!

After drilling the hole in the masonry we inserted a screw anchor for stability and strength. The clock is very secure and designed to sit on the screw and after pulling down on the clock a bit it locks into place.

How is the time set?

I currently have an outdoor clock like this that I would like to replace. It has a feature that allows it to "self-set" the time via radio frequency. How is the time set on this clock?

Answer:
It could be because of the large size of the clock. I don't see why it wouldn't be just as great for inside as outside.
I would just make sure you have a good size wall to hang it on so it doesn't overwelm the wall or anything else displayed on the same wall.
