Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer 4.4 5 495 525
Great Clock Purchased for my husband, who likes to look outdoors on patio and see time/temp/humidity. Perfect! July 9, 2013
motherinlaw this clock is a lovely addition to our patio area. The finish and face compliment the existing decor. Very happy with our purchase July 9, 2013
Exceptional for the patio I am thrilled with the quality & workmanship of this outdoor clock. It is stunning...even better looking in person. A great addition to our patio! July 9, 2013
Love this clock! I wanted an outdoor clock for our patio and this turned out to be the perfect one! The size is great because it can be seen from a distance and it's nice to be able to check the temperature outside when I'm standing inside the house. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this to anyone wanting an outdoor clock/thermometer. July 9, 2013
Functional and good looking This clock is easy to read even from a distance and is striking in its appearance. A worthwhile purchase to put out at my pool. July 9, 2013
Great clock/great value Arrived on time and looks great on our deck July 9, 2013
Oxford outdoor clock - great purchase We have this clock in our screened in porch for the last 3 years and absolutely love it. So, we've now purchased one for our beach house...need I say more! July 9, 2013
Awesome Clock!! This clock is all I expected and more. The Frontgate description was right on with all the details and features. This clock looks awesome in our backyard, is correct on all features, i.e., time, temp, and humidity. Quality is second to none. Love this clock and would buy again in a minute for a gift. This clock would even look good in your home in any room! July 8, 2013
Outdoor clock This clock / thermoter was the perfect item for my outdoor kitchen. The best part was how easy it was to put up - open box, take out, add battery, hang on simple nail...and it weighs next to nothing and looks solid. Enjoying! July 6, 2013
Love the clock It is a great looking clock that easy to read even from a distance. July 5, 2013
Outdoor clock/ Beautiful & accurate time. Just bought it so it is too early to say how it will perform over time. I will y Take it inside over the winter. July 2, 2013
Ms. The clock is just as beautiful as pictured. It took a couple of days for the humidity and temperature gauges to adjust, but that was indicated in the instructions. I have had it for about 2 weeks now so can't comment on long term use. July 2, 2013
Nice! Looks great over our outdoor fireplace. Love knowing the temperature and humidity too! June 26, 2013
Great purchase. Love it. Lovely clock on my new extended patio. Classy and actally keeps accurate time and temps. Our patio is like an extension on our house so am furnishing it with nice accents. I give this beautiful clock 4 stars......top quality. June 15, 2013
just what I wanted This clock exceeded my expectations. Great addition to any outdoor decor. June 14, 2013
Love this Clock Fell in love with this clock in the catalog and when price was lowered, could not resist any longer. Has been hanging on our "pool house" now for at least 2 months and is keeping perfect time and looks fabulous! June 13, 2013
Gorgeous clock that makes a statement We had not heard of Frontgate until our special friends gave us a gift certificate as an extremely generous house warming gift. When I saw this Oxford Outdoor clock I fell in love with it. After placing our order we were surprised at how quickly we received it. The clock actually exceeded our expectations. My husband was thrilled when he saw it. It is gorgeous, light weight and easy to hang. It has been keeping excellent time, humidity and temperature. Anyone that comes in our backyard notices it and comments on how beautiful it looks. June 12, 2013
GREAT VALUE This clock is just beautiful! It is an exceptional value. Looks great! June 12, 2013
Perfect size This clock is easy to read from in the pool. Love the temp and humidity gauges. The adjustments for the gauges are a little strange but they seem to be working, so I guess I adjusted it correctly when we first got it. So glad I purchased it! June 11, 2013
Oxford Outdoor Clock We purchased the clock to put in our lanai of our condominium in Florida. It is attractive in appearance and keeps good time. Very pleased June 11, 2013
Beautiful clock The pictures do not do this clock justice! It is very big and very beautiful. I have it in an outdoor pergola over a fireplace mantle. It looks great. Hoping it really holds up as an outdoor clock, so far so good and we have had some heavy rains. June 10, 2013
time well spent I have this hanging on a wall in my garden. It is great because I can tell when it's time to come in, when the temperature is getting a bit too high to stay out, or when rain may be on the way. I think it is just beautiful and works like a charm. June 10, 2013
Just what we wanted The outdoor clock is just what we wanted. Easy to hang. Easy to read from the pool. Easy to set. Looks good. Quick delivery. June 10, 2013
Elegant and Huge This clock is HUGE, compared to our old one we purchased from a home improvement store! You can read everything on it from across our patio. Before we had to stand under the old one to see the temp and guess between 5 to 8 degrees because the print was so small. We love our new clock!! June 8, 2013
Outdoor Clock is Great The clock looks good and it makes my old wooden shed next to my outdoor patio look sophisticated old rather than just an old shed. Just the right size, not too small so it makes a statement, not to big to overwhelm the shed. Perfect size. Tells good time and bronze color and brushed metal look is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for offering such a good product. I ordered the four stacking chairs next. Waiting for them to arrive, all for a wedding shower coming up! June 7, 2013
Great Purchase I haven't had an opportunity to hang my clock yet but was very pleased at how attractive this clock is just sitting in the box. The price of this clock was great as well. I highly recommend this clock to anyone who is looking to add some charm to there outdoor space. June 6, 2013
Great Outdoor Piece Its more beautiful than the picture and looks great outside. Another great purchase from Frontgate! June 4, 2013
Awesome Clock! Very pleased with this purchase. The clock looks great on my patio. The patio has 12 foot ceilings so the clock fits the scale of the space without looking lost. Would definitely recommend this to anyone! May 30, 2013
Great looking clock that works We have had the clock for only a couple of weeks. I put batteries in it immediately to see if it kept good time. Once I saw that it was working ok, I hung it on the patio wall. It has been outside three or four days now. We love the clock for its good looks and good time keeping. We are a little disappointed that it is somewhat difficult to tell time from a distance. The hands are thin and fine - looks good but hard to see from across the yard. The face is also kind of "busy" (thermometer and humidity) which blend with shadows from a distance to make the hands hard to distinquish. Overall, I gave it a FIVE because we like it that much. and the distance matter is secondary to good looks and accurate time for us. May 28, 2013
Stylish and good value Been looking for some time for something for wall on covered part of lanai by our pool. This outdoor clock is a great size -stylish and good value for money. Only had it up for a week - so far the time and temp. seem to be accurate, unable to determine about humidity. Hope this can stand up to the FL elements. May 27, 2013

Answer:
It does not rust.. The Copper color just wears out after a year or so. The Facia separates from the unit, and the thermometer, and the hygrometer stopped working after one year.

Answer:
It is sealed pretty well. The only place it could rust would be where the hands come together and/or are connected to the mechanism., and that would only happen over a long period of time. I had many years from a clock similar to this before it got any rust.

Answer:
I would assume it to be rust resistant since it appears to be plastic made to look like copper. I don't know how it would hold up if exposed to direct rain, but I think it would be okay on a covered porch like ours.

Answer:
No, it is not rust-proof.

This type of material is generally quite susceptible to rusting in damp or humid climates.

Rust will quickly deverlope if this clock is scratched or chipped in any manner.

The inside bottom lip is the first place that you should expect rust to start developing if water can get behind your clock.

Rust can be slowed by annual respraying of a clear coat spray paint such as Rustoleum (either gloss or satin). With annual respraying, the closck should last five or more years.

Can't access it, but it is definitely not paper - it appears to be hard plastic. We've had ours hanging outside on a semi-covered porch for the past month and it's working great (in spite of all the rain we've been getting)!

After drilling the hole in the masonry we inserted a screw anchor for stability and strength. The clock is very secure and designed to sit on the screw and after pulling down on the clock a bit it locks into place.

Our outdoor wall is made of stucco, so I used a small drill bit to put a beginning hole in the wall, then hammered in a concrete nail with a head wide enough to fit the holder on the back of the clock. Worked very well.

How is the time set?

I currently have an outdoor clock like this that I would like to replace. It has a feature that allows it to "self-set" the time via radio frequency. How is the time set on this clock?

Answer:
It could be because of the large size of the clock. I don't see why it wouldn't be just as great for inside as outside.
I would just make sure you have a good size wall to hang it on so it doesn't overwelm the wall or anything else displayed on the same wall.
