Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer 4.4 5 450 476
Good Clock for Outdoors! Nice clock for the outdoor pool area - good quality and styling. Larger than I expected, but perfect for the patio. Accuracy of humidity guage is questionable, but time and temperature are fine. September 4, 2013
Great outdoor clock I bought this on sale to go above my outdoor fireplace beside our pool. The mantle is under a sheltered area, so the clock is not directly exposed to the elements. It looks absolutely beautiful and has been keeping perfect time for the few weeks we have had it. It arrived quickly and was well-packaged. July 18, 2013
Love this clock! I wanted an outdoor clock for our patio and this turned out to be the perfect one! The size is great because it can be seen from a distance and it's nice to be able to check the temperature outside when I'm standing inside the house. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this to anyone wanting an outdoor clock/thermometer. July 9, 2013
Beautiful clock Love our new outdoor clock. No longer have to run inside to see what time it is particularly when working outside in the yard. It has been a great addition to our house. We may take it in in the winter but the rest of the year will enjoy it outside. Many Thanks. August 8, 2013
Disappointed in Appearance and Quality We are not very impressed with our new clock. The color is not as it appears in the catalog. It is gold instead of copper in color. Also, the hour hand is not in the correct direction for the time. It is ahead of where it should be and there is no way to get to it to push it back where it belongs. Very disappointed and should have sent it back!!! June 14, 2013
Great outdoor addition I just received my beautiful oxford outdoor clock with thermometer and love it. It is even more attractive than the picture in the cataloug. It looks stunning on our patio and now we don't have to get out of the pool to see what time it is with its large hands and easy-to-read numbers. I would definitely recommend to anyone on the fence about this purchase - it was well worth the price. April 29, 2013
BIG clock this is a really nice clock and seems to be made well. It is really large and bigger than I expected, but that is my fault for not measuring...... September 15, 2013
Oxford Outdoor Clock The clock is beautiful. We had one before and always took it in, in the winter since we live on the water. We lost the clock when hurricane Sandy hit last year and flooded our basement, so I had to replace it, thank you for continueing to make this item. August 9, 2013
Very Nice Outdoor Item Researched, read the reviews. Ordered, received our Clock. Looks GREAT, Is Running Great! Got 1 of the 75% ones!! All in All, Frontgate products are worth it. September 9, 2013
additional info I like the clock very much, however I bought it to place on a wall that would be exposed to the elements. The instructions which came with the clock says it should be placed in a "protective" area. If I had known that before I might not have purchased it. This would be good to include in your write up. July 10, 2013
Oxford Outdoor Clock with Thermometer Very Stylish! Would recommend if someone is looking for an outdoor clock. September 28, 2013
Great clock This is a great clock. It is quality made and works great. We're so glad we purchased it! September 24, 2013
Great addition to my deck I love this clock. Appearance and aesthetics are great. Just finished a new deck and have had good compliments on the clock. I have not compared the clock to other thermometers or clocks to check accuracy yet. August 21, 2013
Does not last Bought this clock 2 years ago. Looked good for a while but then paper backing on number dial of clock started to peel up on sides. It is on a covered patio, out of sunlight and we have mild winters in the Dallas area. Now it looks really bad. Called Frontgate about problem and was told this just happens with humidity outside. Buyer beware! June 5, 2013
Owner .Great clock looks good on the wall. However, the thermometer does not work and I'm not sure of the humidity meter. The thermometer was reading over 100 degree on an 80 degree day then went all the way past the highest reading the following day (way beyond as a total failure). That's very disappointing. July 3, 2013
Great Outdoor Clock The clock is beautiful and looks really good outdoors. I bought it to replace a clock that we had for several years that stopped working. It is very light and easy to hang. August 30, 2013
High Quality Clock This is our third outdoor clock purchase. Both previous clocks were much smaller and difficult to read. The first clock blew off in a wind storm and ended up in the pool. The second clock just stopped keeping accurate time. So far this clock has survived a freak wind storm. The only downside is the temperature scale stops at 100 degrees which isn't high enough for summers in our Mesa, AZ home. March 18, 2013
Love It! The Oxford Clock is a beautiful addition to our patio -- the finish is a lovely, gleaming copper that's even richer than it appears in the catalog. September 6, 2013
Outdoor Clock Nice product....., too early to tell about accuracy..., have needed to re-calibrate thermometer a few times..., otherwise I'm satisfied with the purchase. September 4, 2013
Pleasantly surprised I took my time and did a great deal of research before I purchased this item. I 'd just purchased a new deck and I wanted everything to work well and look good. This clock looks better than the picture, and works well. Accurate time, temp. & humidity. My wife said it brings everything together. Only had it for a couple of months, but based on other reviews it should last a long time. Looking forward to purchasing more from Frontgate. October 12, 2012
looks good so far I am very happy with this clock. However, we had previously purchased a similiar clock from Frontgate and it only lasted one season. Called to return it and since it was over one year since purchase they refused. Referred me to product services who promised a new movement which we never received. After a few more e-mails received a credit which we used to purchase this clock. The inside of the new clock looks identical to the original one. August 5, 2012
Great looking clock The clock is beautiful, and appears to be very solid and functional. Haven't had it long enough to give a durability report, but so far so good. If it comes from Frontgate, I feel confident in it, and am sure that if anything does go wrong, the incredible customer service and support from Frontgate will come to the rescue. June 10, 2013
lovely clock This clock is a very attractive addition to our pool area. Keeps great time and the thermometer seems accurate but you do have to manually set both the thermometer and the barometer initially. August 20, 2013
Easy to see The clock looks very nice out on my covered patio near my pool. It is big enough to see easily from in the pool, unlike the clock it replaced. The white background also helps with visibility. August 20, 2013
Outdoor Clock Very nice quality. Temp goes to max if over 100 degrees, other than that it works great. September 18, 2013
Perfect Fit The clock combo fits perfectly into its outdoor wall space location allowing visibility from many angles and distances. The face of the clock can be read at several distances so people checking time in the sun, cooking timing, and general time of day can easily check with a glance. The clock also fits perfectly with our outdoor furniture and planting colors. April 29, 2013
Fabulous! I ordered this clock with my normal high expectations of Frontgate. I installed this clock about three weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It's beautiful; big and easy to read from afar; and has kept accurate time, temp, and humidity. The only test ahead is the test of time as I would expect a product like this to continue to perform for at least three years. So far so good and I have already recommended it to a number of friends. August 7, 2012
Careful if you live in Texas Purchased the predecessor to this roman numeral clock a couple of years ago. (Exactly the same other than the roman numerals.) Since then, the face of the clock is cracking and it looks like the seal between the glass and the outside shell is melting! Is under an eve, so it doesn't get direct sunlight but looks like it can not handle the Texas temps. April 28, 2013
Oxford Outdoor Clock with thermometer The Oxford Clock with Thermometer is beautiful. It is the perfect size to check time, temp, and how humid it is while lounging in the pool or on the deck. August 26, 2013
Great Purchase! I love the Oxford Outdoor Clock I just purchased! It is eye-catching and perfect for my patio. I really like the size. It is big, and therefore does not get "lost" with all of the other outdoor art! August 9, 2013

Answer:
It does not rust.. The Copper color just wears out after a year or so. The Facia separates from the unit, and the thermometer, and the hygrometer stopped working after one year.

Answer:
It is sealed pretty well. The only place it could rust would be where the hands come together and/or are connected to the mechanism., and that would only happen over a long period of time. I had many years from a clock similar to this before it got any rust.

Answer:
I would assume it to be rust resistant since it appears to be plastic made to look like copper. I don't know how it would hold up if exposed to direct rain, but I think it would be okay on a covered porch like ours.

Answer:
No, it is not rust-proof.

This type of material is generally quite susceptible to rusting in damp or humid climates.

Rust will quickly deverlope if this clock is scratched or chipped in any manner.

The inside bottom lip is the first place that you should expect rust to start developing if water can get behind your clock.

Rust can be slowed by annual respraying of a clear coat spray paint such as Rustoleum (either gloss or satin). With annual respraying, the closck should last five or more years.

Can't access it, but it is definitely not paper - it appears to be hard plastic. We've had ours hanging outside on a semi-covered porch for the past month and it's working great (in spite of all the rain we've been getting)!

After drilling the hole in the masonry we inserted a screw anchor for stability and strength. The clock is very secure and designed to sit on the screw and after pulling down on the clock a bit it locks into place.

How is the time set?

I currently have an outdoor clock like this that I would like to replace. It has a feature that allows it to "self-set" the time via radio frequency. How is the time set on this clock?

Answer:
It could be because of the large size of the clock. I don't see why it wouldn't be just as great for inside as outside.
I would just make sure you have a good size wall to hang it on so it doesn't overwelm the wall or anything else displayed on the same wall.
