Santa Cruz Pool Float is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from More functional than expected At first I thought this was an odd looking float when I unpacked it, seeing how the floatation beads moved around in the fabric. When I put it in the pool and laid down on top of it, face up, I felt how the beads conformed to my body shape and in a way formed an instant headrrest. A wonderful stable product, I will certainly buy a few more next year.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware of Beads Escaping This is perfect for adults, but not so much for kids. We had a pool party with children who were jumping onto the mat and caused one of the seams to come open. Beads were everywhere, we immediately turned off pool filter and spent the rest of the afternoon fishing beads out of the pool. Not sure what the beads would do to your motor, but we didn't want to risk an expensive repair. So our float didn't last one season. :(

how heavy is it when wet?

Wondered if it is too heavy when wet for a small petite woman to wrestle out of the water.
Asked by: Minniehaha
The Santa Cruz Pool Float is designed to drain as soon as it is removed from the water; it will go back to the 5 lb weight without any noticeable weight gain.

What is the weight capacity of this float? Would this float be functional for a 80 pound pet (dog) float?

Asked by: Zieman2632
Thank you for your interest in the Santa Cruz Pool Float. This float is designed to adjust to your weight and position in the water; it will, however, sit lower in the water for those who weigh more. We do not recommend using this for a pet. We recommend using our Large Aqua Pup Float (111026) or Large Dog Pool Float and Lounger (74775) for an 80 lb. pet.
