Beautiful to look at
Upside: Gorgeous, graceful, well made.
Downside: In spite of reviews that said you don't need a cushion, I found the chaise too hard on the tailbone without a cushion. Also, they're fine for sunbathing (which I don't do) but I wish the adjustable back had a more upright setting.
Bottom line: A+ in looks, C in comfort.

Awesome Chaise!!
Wonderful product - so comfortable even without cushions!! Beautifully made and adds such elegance to my pool/patio area.

Balencia Bronze Chaise Lounges
These are very attractive and comfortable. They are new so I can not comment on how they will wear. I love how they are able to stack.
One disappoinment was in the color. It seems to have waves of a lighter color to it. I was expecting a solid dark brown.

Balencia Chaise Lounges
Very happy with the purchase of the chaises!! They look great and they are comfortable without cushions (which is what I was looking for). I have only had them a few weeks so I don't know how well they will weather.

Question about comfort ??
Can anyone tell me whether these chaises are comfortable when lying on your stomach? There seems to be some curve in the back while lying flat that concerns me. My daughters love to lie on their stomachs, reading and relaxing, but I worry that these chairs will cause back problems. Any opinions out there?

I have mine out all the time and have yet to cover it...it looks as good as the day i bought it. Durring all the storms and crazy winds....it stayed on the bricks without moving he slightest. also no matter how heavy a person is the weave is still perfect.Length of Ownership: 10+ years

Cushion thickness and comfort in flat position

2 questions:
1. With the slight contoured shape of the chaise, how comfortable is it to lie on your stomach? Admittedly that is a subjective and pesonal preference question, but I am used to pool loungers that include a perfectly flat position.

Since I have had a back surgery twice, I typically lay backwards on chairs so my feet are where the head is, that way the curve of the chair is perfect for my spine. The chair is very comfortable, even without the cushions. The cushions are about 1 1/2 to 2 inches thick and are supberb. That's all I can say! I can easily fall asleep!Length of Ownership: < 1 year

They are quite comfortable to lie on your stomach. When I did, I put my head down at the "foot" end. The woven wicker material gives a little, which makes it more comfy. I did not order the cushions though.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

I did not purchase the cushions but I can tell you as I wrote in my review, the chairs are very comfortable both on your back and on your stomach. I know what you are talking about in terms of flipping over on your stomach and sometimes your back is not supported by the curve in the chair. This is a very comfortable chair without the cushions. We put towels on ours due to the heat in the summer but they are very comfortable without towels too.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Yes, they do both! There are about 4 or 5 different adjustments that you can make to them. They really are amazing and I have looked extensively at lawn/pool furniture. They are light to move around but heavy in construction if you know what I mean. I was so impressed by how thick everything is and the underside construction--it seems like they will last a very long time.Hope this helps. They are worth the money and we will be ordering another pair!

The chairs have about three different reclining positions I believe. They do lie flat but they do not raise completely up to a 90 degree angle. The highest position is still a little bit of a reclining position which is my only complaint about the chair. Otherwise the chair is very comfortable and beautiful.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
