Great lights
I've purchased solar lights several times over the years and have always found them cheap and inadequate. But when I saw these lights in the Frontgate catalog, I decided to try them, having had great experiences with other products I've bought from Frontgate. The lights are terrific. They're solid and sturdy, put out bright light (for 6 or 10 hours, your choice), and handsome. I was so happy with my initial purchase of six that I bought four more.

IV Solar Path Lights
I'm not sure about the Solar lights. They are not consistent. We have 12 of these lights, and they are not consistent with lightening. We think we have a defective one, and then the next night it might come on.

Perfect lighting
These are the best lights for a walkway. They are bright enough to cover a large area, but not too bright to be center of attention. They are pleasing to the eye. Excellent choice.

Solar Lights
There seems to be some sort of problem with the battery compartment. My data is based upon 4 lights and about 10 days of use. I have observed problems with at least one of the lights almost every night. When I open the battery compartment and re-seat the battery, the lights seem to operate properly, but the weight of the battery (gravity) seems to cause the battery to lose proper connection. I am seeing this in a few units. One of the 4 lights arrived with the battery and battery compartment door loose within the light housing. When they do work, the lights are bright and they look (perhaps deceptively) to be substantial and well-built.

They Work!
These lamps are a good value for the money. Some reviews have indicated difficulty in getting the lamps to work properly, but I found that by following the instructions carefully, the lamps work as advertised. I've been so pleased in the 2 or so weeks that they've been in place that I may order additional lamps.

How can I replace the lens for the light sensors?

The lens on the top of the Top Housings have faded and turn the lights on very early. This makes the batteries go dead earlier in the evening.
Is it possible to replace the lens that sense the daylight or the entire top housing? If so, could you please provide the P/N and price?

Do these look like typical LED solar lights?

I have been looking for solar path lights that don't have the harsh look of typical LED solar lights (i.e. either orange or bright white with a blue tint), but rather look more like hard-wired incandescnet lights. Can anyone tell me if these look more natural?

Dear EDR1:I had the same concern, and took a chance when they were on sale.
To my surprise, they look and shine like hard wired lights.
The light that these lights give off are as bright as a regular light bulb. The quality of the metal case (bronze color) of the body is very good, not like the ones found in some of the stores that sell them by sets of 4. The batteries do last up to 5-6 hrs a night. I have some extras
just incase because they are not the regular size batteries.

These lights are very bright and do tend to look like the typical bright white LED lamp. They have two settings. I have not tried the lower setting to see how much the brightness is reduced. Either way I think you will still have the Bright White LED look. This worked really nicely for our purposes.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

We appreciate your interest in this item. These lights have two different timer settings - 6 hour and 10 hour. When using the 6 hour timer setting, the light output is 45 lumens constantly. When using the 10 hour timer setting, the light output is 36 lumens for the first 5 hours and 18 lumens for the remaining 5 hours.10 months ago
