Set of Two Pro Series IV Solar Path Lights 4.3 5 172 180
Turn your backyard into a resort setting. Solar technology has greatly improved in the last few years. The pro series solar lights are brighter than past models and do not need direct sunlight. This particular design is very pretty. We placed these solar path lights around our garden. They make our garden look like a five-star resort! April 18, 2012
Impressed Most solar do not hold their value. However, after purchasing two sets (despite being hesitant), I am very pleased. April 17, 2012
Bright, but don't last long Well-made, attractive. Easy to put together. But, even at the 10-hour setting, only last 4 hrs. April 12, 2012
Best Solar Lights I rarely write a review. However, these solar path lights are outstanding. I have purchased many lights from other companies in the past. These far surpass in brightness and quality. March 29, 2012
Does not work as advertised. Lights only stay on for 4 hours on sunny days and will not work on cloudy days. Lights I purchased last year were less expensive and stay on longer. I like the brightness of the pro series lights. Any advise? March 28, 2012
Awesome Lights The Pro Series IV Solar Path Lights are awesome. The illumination is superior to any others. We liked them so much we reordered more. Thank you for the great quality. March 24, 2012
Used two weeks and works great. The solar path lights are as bright as any electic lights that I have every had. These are a good quality light and I'v got them set for six hours. March 20, 2012
Great Path Lights Love our new solar path lights. Quality lights that illuminate our patio and walkway. We are so pleased we may purchase another set. March 10, 2012
Well built The metal and glass construction of these walkway lights is far better than the usual plastic. The battery arrangement is typical, using readily-available rechargeable batteries that are a bit larger than AA. Light color is cool white. The batteries seem prone to the same vagaries as all battery-operated lights, so periodic battery charging and battery replacement should be expected. February 16, 2012
Disappointed Love the look! I wished they would just stay on for more than an hour. What is the purpose of having path lights that don't light the path. Disappointed! Great design. January 20, 2012
More good than bad As decor, these lights look great, even during the day when they are off. At night, the light is bright and more than adequate for lighting our path. However, we are lucky if they stay lit for two hours. Granted, this is wintertime with short days, and it has been especially cloudy recently. I suspect performance will dramatically improve once spring and summer roll around. Nevertheless, the ironic thing about solar lights is that the more you need them (i.e. during longer winter nights) the less light you are going to get out of them. January 18, 2012
inconsistent light time I've bought several of these. they have a great light, but how long they light is inconsistent. soemtimes they come on for 2 hours, sometimes 6, sometimes not at all. I think they need full time sun to work consistently. They look nice, though. January 1, 2012
Not up to frontgate standards The lights are bright, but they only stay on for about an hour rendering them useless. Also, the light sensor is very finicky, so the lights dont always go on. Definitely, not worth the $. I was bummed, b/c this would of been an environmentally friendly way to light front pathway. December 27, 2011
Solar lights too early to know, but disappointed in how long they stay on. At this point I am assuming as the days get longer they will move toward performing as advertised. December 26, 2011
solar pathway lights we purchased 3 sets to illuminate our driveway. these lights are excellent quality and are somewhat larger in scale than depicted in the photo. however, the lights don't go on unless you place your hand over the solar panel/sensor on the top of the fixture. we will be returning them and installing wired landscape lighting. December 24, 2011
Solar path lights Not very good as it doesn't last as long as the other bronze ones comes in a pack of 6. Although this two sets are more expensive they certainly aren't worth the money. The other bronze pack is way worth the money. December 6, 2011
Don't buy these Save your money; buy something else. These do not work. They are not very bright at all and rarely actually light up. Sometime they come on, but most of the time they do not work, which defeats the purpose of buying them. November 27, 2011
nice and bright I liked the first pair so well I bought a second pair. I got tired of the cheap ones I kept trying from the big box & dept. stores and was willing to spend the extra money for quality. I am not disappointed at all. November 9, 2011
THE BRIGHT STUFF You will not believe how bright these lights are. They illuminate more like electric than solar lights. Plus they are extremely handsome looking. I am using them in the front of my house now, and expect to purchase more for my patio. October 9, 2011
Nice solor lights Clearly the best solar path lighting I have come across. They appear to be good quality, although I do wonder how they will hold up in the MN winters. September 15, 2011
Worth the price Lights are easy to assemble, are attractive and sturdy. Given the amount of light they give off, I spaced them farther apart. I've only had them a few weeks, but so far I would highly recommend them. It looks like they could survive our tough Winters. September 14, 2011
solar lights Before ordering these you have to remember that these need direct sunlight exposure from sunrise to sunset to work properly. Also I needed to have one of these replaced as the solar battery was not holding a charge, and it didn't come on at all. I don't know how often these solar batteries need to be replaced, and how expensive they are, as that could become an issue too. September 3, 2011
Add highlights to your garden entrance We are enjoying the elegance that has been added to our garden...initially, we purchased four and then added two more. We like the fact that the lighting is not startling, but bright and soft at the same time (it's very inviting; just like the beauty of nature, it draws you towards it). September 2, 2011
Disappointing These are nothing like the lights I got previously from Frontgate. They are still the same old blue gray color of light.....nothing that even remotely resembles white. There are plenty of great LED products on the market that are current and have a great color of light. Save your money,,,these are no better than the cheapies at closeout stores. August 23, 2011
Set of Two Pro Series IV Solar Path Lights I bought these recently. Installed them and they worked great. However, within a week both of them stopped working all together. I plan to send them back immediately. I am furious! August 23, 2011
great path lights I bought 2 sets of these lights for our front walkway. I was pleasantly surprised at size and quality. They are a bit larger than they look in the photo which is good. The light that they give off is much better and brighter than any solar lights I have tried or seen. They definitely give off plenty of light to see the walk at night. The top was a little hard to pull off in order to turn the switch on, this only needs to be done once. While the side view of the lamps are very nice, the top of them has the solar panel which you see as you walk by in daylight. August 23, 2011
Great lights! Bought these for our front walkway. They look great and are as bright as our neighbor's low voltage lights. They last long into the night, too. I'm buying some more today! August 10, 2011
Very Pleased We are enormously pleased with these lights. They are substantial and attractive by day and just the right brightness at night to light the front path without lighting up the whole neighborhood. Even in the shade of a large tree, the solar charge lasts for hours--just long enough to darken appropriately once everyone has retired for the night. We've just ordered a set of the spotlights in the same style to light our house numbers. If I had a bigger yard, I would buy more! August 10, 2011
Excellent Solar Path Lights I purchased the pair of Pro Series IV Solar Path Lights to replace a pair of inferior quality which i had purchased elsewhere. We have placed them on either side of our steep driveway so now when we back onto the driveway in the dark we have brilliant guides. Not only are these wonderful because they have settings for the length of time they illuminate, but they look very nice as well. August 10, 2011
Bright Light! Bright Light! Extremely satisfied. Two lights came on time and ready to work. They give off enough light to brighten my entry way with some to spare!... August 9, 2011

I have been looking for solar path lights that don't have the harsh look of typical LED solar lights (i.e. either orange or bright white with a blue tint), but rather look more like hard-wired incandescnet lights. Can anyone tell me if these look more natural?
Thanks!

Answer:
Dear EDR1:

I had the same concern, and took a chance when they were on sale.
To my surprise, they look and shine like hard wired lights.
The light that these lights give off are as bright as a regular light bulb. The quality of the metal case (bronze color) of the body is very good, not like the ones found in some of the stores that sell them by sets of 4. The batteries do last up to 5-6 hrs a night. I have some extras
just incase because they are not the regular size batteries.

Answer:
These lights are very bright and do tend to look like the typical bright white LED lamp. They have two settings. I have not tried the lower setting to see how much the brightness is reduced. Either way I think you will still have the Bright White LED look. This worked really nicely for our purposes.

Answer:
This light gives you a choice of 6H or 10H
for night time use.

I just received these, so I can't answer how long the batteries last....(month wise...)

But they use a 3.2 V size battery instead of
the AA or AAA type rechargable type of
batteries we are familiar with in the US.
