Pro Series IV Solar path lights
I have a large bi-level deck and needed solar lights to brightly illuminate the exterior deck area. I felt I couldn't go wrong after reading the reviews of the beautiful lights. I ordered 4 lights right off; they were so bright I have since ordered 8 more lights. I am extremely happy with the clarity. The box store solar lights can't hold a candle to the Pro Series lights. Good quality, fair price, quick service/shipping. I am a Front Gate customer for life!

Not so great
I originally purchased 6 of these- They are solid and appear very attractive- Unfortunately, due to their weight, the small stakes that are supposed to anchor them in the ground are too short to be adequate- In addition, after charging the batteries for 48 hours, I had to send 2 back as they wouldn't work- Upon receiving a new set of 2, I again charged these and everything was fine...for 1 week!! Now 2 more have failed to light! I have replaced the batteries in all 6 lights, recharged them and am awaiting to see the results this evening- All lights are in brightly lit areas of my pathway- If these fail to work, they're all going back as it doesn't make sense to invest more time and $ in something so unreliable- Come on, this is supposed to be Frontgate quality!! Buyer beware on this one!!

Solar patio lights
We purchased 10 solar powered patio lights and had one that went bad after two weeks. Frontgate customer support replaced the bad light and didn't even ask us to return the bad unit. We received the new light in just a few days. Great customer service!
I will be buying from Frontgate in the future.

A Bright Idea
The 2 things I've always disliked about solar path lights- cheap looking and not enough light. Problems solved! These are lovely to look at and they put out substantial light; We bought 6 and they completely illuminate our sidewalk in natural looking light. It's not yellow or ugly blue. We LOVE these lights.

We received the lamps readily and I am satisified with three of the four lamps. One of the top housings works when it wants too. I have contacted your tech service and will probably return the item.

Best Purchase Ever
I have held off on purchasing solar lights because I was not happy with the amount of light they gave off. These are by far the best I have ever seen. At first my husband thought they were pricey, but once he saw how they performed, he thought it was worth it. They emit the same amount of light, if not more, than my electric landscape lights. We are very pleased and have ordered two more sets.

Solid Construction/Solid Performance
I was very pleased with the heavyweight construction and durability of these lights. The emit the right amount of light for a 6-8 hour period of time and aesthetically, they look amazing along the walkway. At this price, my hope is that these lights will last for many years.

Beautiful and bright!
These lights are just as beautiful as their picture in the catalog. They are simple to set up and glowed brightly the first night even though the instructions said you might have to wait a few days for them to glow. I have a very sunny backyard, so they get plenty of fuel. I am a very pleased customer, I bought three sets.

Best So Far
I bought two sets of these lights. They emit a
good light, which is what I wanted. They do need some sunlight to charge. If it is raining, you may not get the light at night.
I can use these instead of low wattage lighting.

Love the outdoor lights!
Just purchased 3 sets of these lights to light steps on our patio. They are attractive out of the box, and have a larger surface area to the solar cells on top, so I was hopeful that they would be brighter than the big box store models. They work perfectly, and absorbed enough light on the first day to light up that night.
One note: They come with the batteries described in the directions. We did not check before we went out and bought batteries, and they were provided with the units. So now we are prepared for whenever they need replacing!

Beautiful!
My husband and I read the mixed reviews and decided to buy anyway since we have had nothing but quality items from Frontgate. Our intuition was right! These lights are beautiful and efficient. They light up our driveway with the mot perfect brightness. Thank you Frontgate for never letting us down!

Better than the junk at the big box stores.
They put out a reasonable amount of light, certainly more than the cheap ones at the big home stores. Two of 12 did not work and were returned. Mechanical design is poor. They easily come apart. If you try to move one after placing it, the lower part will stay in the ground and you'll need to dig it out. Simply it is a poor (cheapest) design. I hot glued the sections together to solve that problem. It remains to be seen how long they last.

Brightest purchase ever
The solar path lights rival wired lights for brightness; they are well packed and assemble in less than a minute. The hardest part is inserting the stake into the ground!

I think they're all working now
I purchased 2 sets of lights...1st night only one turned on 2nd&3rd nights 2 on ..4th the original went off but the other 3 on...I took the batteries out of all lights and marked the ones that did not work..batteries were fine.I gave it another try and after 6 nights I think they are now all working... but for how long...they look great but I am disappointed about the performance.

They actually light my pathway! They look good and seem to last more hours than advertised (Yeah!). They have been in the bright sun during the day, haven't had a cloudy day yet, so.... But I'm buying more for sure.

Do these look like typical LED solar lights?

I have been looking for solar path lights that don't have the harsh look of typical LED solar lights (i.e. either orange or bright white with a blue tint), but rather look more like hard-wired incandescnet lights. Can anyone tell me if these look more natural?

Dear EDR1:I had the same concern, and took a chance when they were on sale.
To my surprise, they look and shine like hard wired lights.
The light that these lights give off are as bright as a regular light bulb. The quality of the metal case (bronze color) of the body is very good, not like the ones found in some of the stores that sell them by sets of 4. The batteries do last up to 5-6 hrs a night. I have some extras
just incase because they are not the regular size batteries.

These lights are very bright and do tend to look like the typical bright white LED lamp. They have two settings. I have not tried the lower setting to see how much the brightness is reduced. Either way I think you will still have the Bright White LED look. This worked really nicely for our purposes.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

We appreciate your interest in this item. These lights have two different timer settings - 6 hour and 10 hour. When using the 6 hour timer setting, the light output is 45 lumens constantly. When using the 10 hour timer setting, the light output is 36 lumens for the first 5 hours and 18 lumens for the remaining 5 hours.9 months ago
