Set of Two Regent Copper Torches 4.5 5 21 21
Regent Copper Torches The torches are even more beautiful in real life! They look wonderful in our newly remodeled backyard. October 21, 2013
Poor Quality Torches I am an avid Frontgate customer. Have 6 of these torches with the stands. Looked beautiful when I put them up. By end of the first season, they were rusting. Put them out 2nd season and exterior flaked off. Very poor quality. Really surprises me with Frontgate, as I've never had a bad experience before. August 8, 2013
reply to... ouch In response to the previous posting... many ouches..... I guess the deployment of the torches depends on your soil. I was able to press it deep into the ground with just my hands and body weight. Of course, I am very manly and strong. (probably would have taken me 3 strikes with the rubber mallet.) Granted, I live in the very dry climate of Colorado, and do not have the same rain as seen in the South, but it is our rainy month and has rained every day since I last lit the torches a week ago, and last night they lit without any problem and did not sputter or go out. I have been using citronella torch fuel, not the recommended lamp oil. I have not had any problems other than there is a bit of black soot that needs wiping away after uses to maintain the luster of the copper. I don't know if that is the concern about using the lamp oil instead of alternate outdoor torch fuels. Have been very happy with the product and have recommended it to others. July 9, 2013
Look great but rusting out within a year These torches look terrific and function very well. Unfortunately within one year of purchase the stakes began rusting. We spent the extra money for Frontgate quality merchandise and these torches are not living up to the brand. May 6, 2013
Perfect product Purchased 4 of these... while they are a little pricey they are worth every penny. Frontgate's products are such great quality I know these will last a long time. June 20, 2012
regent torches These torches are awesome. I have had my eye on them for a while, and boy were they worth the wait. They add total elegance to our backyard, makes you feel like you are at a resort. Beautiful, and worth every penny! June 17, 2012
Excellent quality First time I have used Frontgate and I am delighted with my purchase. Expensive but so worth it for the quality. Tikki torches are a piece of art and complete our new patio beautifully! Would highly recommend. June 16, 2012
Gorgeous Torches but Terrible Quality I've purchased a total of 12 torches over the last two months. They look great! The problem is that the good ends there. I am comparing these to a dozen torches in cast iron holders purchased elsewhere in the 1990's (could not find the source). These old torches have stayed outside without cover for ~16 years and light everytime. Firstly, I wondered why Frontgate offered to sell "extra snuffers" and it is because I've already have two of the 12 fall off their chains. Three of the others have rusty chains holding the snuffers. Ouch! The first "light" rain in Nashville resulted in the copper vessels taking on water causing half of them to sputter and refuse to stay lighted. But that was better than the fate the other half .... they could not be lighted at all. Double Ouch! When I turned one over to examine the end to be driven into the ground rusty water poured out onto my pants. This was after the first rain on day three in the backyard. Triple Ouch! The vessels of the torches have to be brought into the garage and put out only on evening's just prior to entertaining. Quad Ouch! Just a pet peeve, but why do the have to have a special oil to burn rather than the more readily available Tiki Oil sold in all hardware stores? The rep said they were the only ones who sell it. The vessels hold two bottles of the expensive Frontgate oil sold by the pint! Finally, rather than have multiple smaller stakes to drive into the ground and stablize to a greater degree, these have a single thick stake that requires 300 + strikes with a large rubber mallet in order to drive them into the ground. In summary, my wife thinks I'm a idiot for ordering from a catalog without seeing them in person. They were expensive so I thought they would be of great quality. Wrong. June 3, 2012

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in Frontgate. The only fuel recommended for the Regent Copper Torches is liquid paraffin. We do not recommend using kerosene in any of our torches.

Answer:
No. I tried ordering base separately but not available. So I ordered base for Piazza model but it didn't fit. Regent poll is 3/4" diameter square whereas Piazza is 1" diameter. So we just pounded them into grass and they stay put - very sturdy.
