I ordered these for my English Cream Golden Retrievers and they absolutely love it. When I got my Front Gate box and opened it up the dogs started jumping and knew for sure these were for them. They didn't like drinking out of their old bowls but when I filled it up with water they started sucking the water down quickly. I would say they are worth the price if your dog means the world to you.

I received this bowl as a gift for my mother in law for my corgi. He has an overbite and drinks really weird and is always getting water everywhere. This bowl really work for him. When he slurps, the top lip redirects food and water back into the bowl before it hits the floor. He can't tip it over or move it either because it is really heavy. I also like that it is dishwasher safe and that the top lip that keeps him from dripping water everywhere is removable. Another reviewer mentioned the lip as a bag thing, but I love it. I originally had him eating his foot out of it, and I just popped the lip off and cleaned it when I needed to. It is especially great for sloppy drinkers. Great bowl!

I purchased these bowls in both the Medium and the Large. It should be noted that the "Medium" would be more accurately described as a Small.
These bowls are very weighty. The steel is heavy-duty. Definitely not thin steel. I consider this a good thing considering the price of these items.
The rubber stopper rimming the outside bottom of the bowls is removable. However, the rubber strip is very cumbersome to try to get back onto the bowl once removed. It's not impossible, but it is not an easy task.
Most importantly, I am returning both bowls. For me, the design of the bowl is its biggest flaw. The reason for the returns is that the inside bowl has an interior reverse "lip". I want to be clear in my description of this. The steel that you see wrapping the outside of the bowls, comes up over the top rim of the bowls, and dips down about 1/2 inch. This creates a lip with space just behind it, up under the rim itself. The dog food gets stuck up under this space. The dog can't get to it. It becomes wasted food, could become a breeding ground for bacteria or odor, and is tricky to clean up into this space.
For this reason, I am returning. This is the biggest reason that I would say that this was not a good purchased.

I have visited several pet places looking for a bowl that was made well and would not move when my Golden Retriever was eating. Finally found this at Frontgate. It is well made and sturdy. Not a light stainless steet bowl. This one has some meat. Small bowl hold one cup of food no problem. Suggest you get medium or large for matching water. Great product.
