Teak Shower Bench with Shelf
201
217
Great purchase
The shower bench is well made and very attractive. We have a large stall shower and it fits in fine. The size might be too big for a smaller shower.

Shower Bench
This bench was just what we were looking for. We just renovated our shower and took out two built-in tile benches and opened up the space. We needed a sturdy bench that we could move around. Also, if we need to replace it in a few years that is fine. Better that than a built in bench that is not in the right place. Cleanliness, mobility and off-setting future tile problems... this is why we choose to purchase this bench.

Longer Showers Are To Be Expected
This bountiful bench is a nice blend of Asian and Norwegian spa utility. The bench is stout but light making it easy to move around the shower. The under shelf makes for great convenience to easily reach sponges, brushes, etc. Finally, the teak wood aroma floats throughout the bathroom for that sauna spa scent. Great bench but it makes you want to sit in the shower too long.

Excellent!
Item was as described, is an excellent addition to the bathroom. Shelf beneath accomodates extra towels, shampoo, etc and rail keeps things from falling off.

teak bench for shower
Solid design and very functional. Looks great too. In past I had purchased another manufacturer's "teak look alike" but it didn't withstand the daily water and humidity..........this frontgate teak is solid and so far handling the demands of daily use! Love it! This is my second frontgate teak! Highly recommend it!

Teak Shower Bench w/ Shelf
The teak shower bench is beautiful, fits perfectly in my newly renovated shower/bath. The finish is very good, however, part of the teak wood on the under side was a small split of wood that protruded out. I cut it off and sanded it. I have treated this bench with teak oil to retain the wood finish which was recommended from other reviews read. It is a wonderful bench and the underside is not noticeable.

Perfect Teak Bench
In our recent master bath renovation, we wanted to create a spa effect and the large teak bench fit in perfectly! It is sturdy, attractive, and the teak wood added just the right touch. We loved it so much that we purchased the stool as well.

Perfectly suits our needs
We are very happy with this shower bench. It's sturdy, comfortable, and attractive, with a seat that is higher than those on some other benches. This makes it easy for me, with my bad knees, to sit down and stand up. It's great for shaving legs, bathing the dog in the shower, or just luxuriating in hot water and steam. Best of all, it arrived on our doorstep ready to take out of the box and put in the shower--no assembly required. We give it an A+.

Would this bench work for a senior? Someone mentioned splinters. Should that be a concern?

Answer:
YES, PERFECTLY. THE TWO BENCHES PURCHASED WERE SMOOTH AND SPLINTERS NOT AN ISSUE.4 months, 2 weeks ago
Answer:
For sitting yes, for putting a foot up no.And don't think a senior would take advantage of the lower shelf unless they are very flexible.
Splinters don't appear to be a concern at all.

Answer:
Yes. I believe the bench would be good for a senior. The great thing about teak is that it is soft but durable and
doesn't get splinters like other woods. Sort of like bamboo
but not as slippery.

Teak wood is used as a deck in boats and on outside furniture. It will lose some of its color due to the chlorine in the water, but you can use a marine grade finish to protect the color.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
Yes, it's designed to, but to keep the beautiful teak color, you will want to oil it occasionally, otherwise it will turn a
gray washed shade...some like that...I prefer the warm 'blond' color and feel.
