Therapeutic Warming Mattress Cover 4.5 5 112 117
Therapeutic Warming Mattress Cover We have one of these at our Lake House and now have a second one at our home. It works GREAT! The only complaint I have is that the design needs to be a little different. The plugs should be at the head in the center, we had to turn ours upside down because the cords show at the foot of the bed otherwise. The other is that there should be a remote for each side of the bed rather than one remote. November 14, 2014
PERFECT for couples If you're in the market for a heated mattress pad this one is a good as it gets! We used our pad for 3 years and were so impressed we purchased one for my sister and her husband. The pad is divided into two sides and there are three sections per side. This makes it possible for you and your partner to set the heat level YOU want and be totally comfortable - turn it off on your side if you want. The three sections are GREAT. My feet are always cold so my setting is usually a 9. I don't usually need any heat for the head and middle section. After 3 years the pad is still working perfectly. I use a large capacity washer and dryer (low heat) to clean every 3 months so the wiring must be attached firmly. Frontgate is a pleasure to do business with, easy to order from, they offer a good price for the quality of the pad and my order arrived on time. The fitted pockets are large enough to fit easily over our mattress and featherbed topper. December 20, 2011
Loved It. We purchased this as a Christmas gift for my dad. We gave it to him early once the cold weather hit a few weeks ago. He loves this mattress cover so much that just yesterday he made the statement "I have no clue how much it cost but it is worth every penny you spent." High praise from the man whose normal exclamation over a gift is "it's nice" to which I add in my head ho-hum. The pad was very easy to set up and get working, less than 10 minutes I would say even stripping the bed and re-making it. Directions for use are easy to understand and it is not noticable when you are laying on the bed. The feature he most enjoys is the pre-heat feature which allows the bed to be comfortable (toasty warm) when he gets into it at bed time. He actually likes it better than an electric blanket as it seems to heat the entire bed and sleeping surface so even the covers are nice...his own coccon. November 14, 2013
Cushy and Warm This is a replacement for my previous one, which after several years stopped working in 4 of the 6 areas. It is terrific not just when it is cold but when muscle stiffness or soreness creeps in from working out or age (or both in my case). My only complaint would be the plug in at the foot area of the bed would be better placed on the side of the bed where the body doesn't hit it because it is unyielding when the foot hits it though it is off to the bottom corners. Otherwise this product is a great way to regulate warmth in three zones of the body on each side so you and your partner can have different heat settings for 3 body zones on each side for a total of 6. Amazing and Wonderful!! I can not tell you how wonderful it is to climb into a bed with warm sheets and blankets all over! Also, having the ability to adjust (and even turn off) individual zones on either side of the bed is very nice. I turn it on about 1 hour before bed time, and I've found that it works best if I turn both side up to high (level 10), and also hit the "preheat" button. (The preheat seems to go to a higher heat level than level 10.) Then, right before we get into bed I adjust the settings to the level we want for the night (me at levels 2, 2 & 3 - my husband at 1, off & 1), and I hit preheat again. This is like laying on a heating pad to help relax, but then it automatically switches over to our regular settings as we fall asleep. It's also has a soft and comfortable feeling to it with a little bid of extra padding. Can't say anything about it's durability as we've had it for less than 6 months. February 11, 2012
Auto off failure Love love love our heated mattress pad! We've purchased the Sunbeam Dual Zone heated mattress pad for our bed and all our guest beds and they're wonderful. We recently purchased the 6 zone heated mattress pad because we liked the options of choosing which areas to heat. It's great, but the only failure we experience is that the auto off setting is not really an option. It can only be set to turn off after 10 hours where the much less expensive dual zone mattress pad has an auto off setting of 2, 4 or 6 hours. In our opinion a 2 hour auto off is much more convenient. We find it difficult to use as much with this model because we wake up in the middle of the night to hot & then have to locate the wireless remote turn it off. It has become more of a hassle than expected and we notice we don't use it as much because of this. But overall we love it. The heating element is much better than previous models. February 4, 2014
Great Product, except... I think this is a great product with much more versatility in personal, individual comfort compared to others on the market. If parts of me feel warm and other parts feel cold I can adjust it accordingly. That’s worth the extra cost in itself. However, there are a couple of negatives the manufacturer needs to improve upon. One, they need to relocated the mattress plug connectors and place them on the side of the mattress at the head-end instead of on top at the foot-end. That would put the plugs and the control unit closer to the power outlet, which is typically located along the wall behind or near the headboard and would eliminate the need for such long, cumbersome, cables running under the mattress. That to me, as a designer, just makes more sense. Plus you don’t have to worry about feeling them with your feet during the night or sitting on them as you get dress. Second, while I enjoy the freedom of a wireless remote control, I really think each side should have its own wireless remote. That way, during the night one person doesn’t have to disturb the other one with the single remote sitting on the opposite nightstand table in order to make adjustments. December 14, 2012
6 Zones is much better than 2 I bought the king size wireless warming mattress cover. What is wireless is the bedside control. There are wires under the bed and two plugs for each side of the electric mattress cover. Having 3 zones of warmth for each side of the bed is great. My husband has been having some lower back issues and we are able to heat just the middle section of his side for the relief he needs. Also, I know it will be really handy for me when we have the chilly nights in fall and winter because I can heat the foot portion for my winter cold feet and not have to heat the head and torso. If you have never had a warming mattress cover, and you like to get into a warm bed on a cold night, I highly recommend it. Generally, in the winter months, I preheat the cover 10 minutes or so before going to bed and then turn it off when I get into bed. On extra cold evenings, I keep it on low through out the night on my side, but turn off my husband's side because after he falls asleep, the additional warming makes him too hot. As an added bonus, if you forget to turn it off, it has an automatic shut off after 10 hours, so you don't go off to work and keep heating your bed. August 26, 2009

I would think low voltage as they are not very thick. You might want to contact Sunbeam as they are the manufacturer.
