Wonderful Surprise
I am so pleased with my Trident Outdoor Lantern - that instead of taking it home, I'm displaying it in my office! I just wish I had purchased the large one before they sold out! My lantern is so much nicer than I expected - and beautiful in my office. Thanks Front Gate for your continued Quality. That's what brings me back....

Excellent Home Accent
I love these lanterns. I have two by each fireplace and also use them inside. They easily transport so we use them outside for lighting. They really came in hand during several power outages because you don't have to worry about the candle tipping over. It is really nice to try differnt candles inside the lantern. Thanks Frontgate!!

Great table lanterns
I purchased a pair of the mini lanterns. Wonderful on our outdoor dining table. I purchased flameless resin battery operated votives on another site to place inside.

classic addition around outdoor pool
I put these around our outdoor in ground pool on different level moss rocks and they have added a classic look during the day and a romantic look with lit candles in the evening. These are a must purchase!

Hands Down, Best Lanterns available
This is my second lantern purchased from FRONTGATE. Always amazed at the quality. The Trident Outdoor Lantern (Large) is beautiful on my table and easily stands alone as the centerpiece! My neighbor has just ordered one too! Well constructed, and does not hold water when it rains. I use a battery operated candle inside and do not have to worry about the bottom getting wet. I love the double doors on the front and the unique lock. Buy it. I guarantee you will use it for years.

Favorite purchases to date

I bought two lanterns and the quality was uneven. One was very high quality. The other was lopsided enough that it rocked on its base and the doors were out of alignment. There was no indication that damage had occurred during shipping, so I assume that the lopsidedness was the result of manufacturing.

Simply Exquisite
The quality of the Trident Lanterns is immediately evident, and at the price, they are an exceptional buy. I used these lanterns throught the summer season last year. The light relects like a prism, adding to the charm of a summer evening around the pool. At season's end I didn't want to put them out of sight and just store they away. I was surprised to see they are great anywhere, any season. I transferred them to the hearth of my stonewall fireplace. They are substantial enough to hold their own, yet simple enough to accent and not overwhelm. I ordered 2 more this year to complete the poolside design, and can already think of a place inside for their winter use.

Just purchased, so don't yet know how well they will hold up to the weather. Really like the elegant look of these lanterns in my newly designed back yard. A day late and a foot short!
We really like our Trident lantern. The second one we ordered came a day late (just as the guests were arriving) and when I got it out, it was missing a foot! The one we are currently using is wonderfully sturdy and beautiful. I am sure I will enjoy the second one just as much when its replacement arrives!

As promised
The lanterns are solidly constructed. Placing small votive candles in the smallest lanterns produces interesting patterns of flickering light coming through the grate metal top.

Good Quality for an affordable price
Bought 2 - 2 pak of the small lanterns. Put the liquid candle fuel rather than candles inside. Look great on our cabin patio in the pines of northern Arizona. They are sturdy and look great.

All That Was Advertised!
These two lanterns are of excellent quality; thick and clear beveled glass, heavy gauge metal and no apparent flaws...and at a decent price so I will probably buy an additional, larger one. The chains, sold separately, are equally nice and come with the necessary hooks for hanging.

Beautiful lighting
I was thrilled when I saw these lanterns, beautiful, well made and they give off a nice lighting. The only thing is the handle at the top gets HOT!!!!. so if you need to relocate the lantern hold it from below

Great Functional Accent
I am actually using my small lanterns inside and out. They make a great summer accent on the mantel or a soft light outside in the evening. Great product!

Lanterns
Pretty. One piece broke with taking it out of the box. They look good but are not made too well. The nail in the bottom of the lantern that holds the candle will not work as the candles for this lantern have a metal base in them. There should be another way to secure the candle.

Yes. I have all three sizes (small, medium and large). The smaller ones I put in the windows of my screened in patio hanging from a chain and the two trees in my front yard. I really like them.Length of Ownership: < 1 year
