Trio Jewelry cleaner
Was excited to try this out. First try was disappointing with the photo copied instruction manual and only fairly written for a consumer. Like the three stage (takes30 min complete) They give you a small brush but do not indicate when is the best time to use it. IE interrupt soak time, after steaming or ultrasonic stage???. Would be nice to have a small metal and gemstone list to take the guess work out of which setting to us. WIll be giving it another shot and experiment. Good idea but for the price could be better. Soaking jewelry in cleaner and brushing may do just as good.

Trio Jewelry Cleaner
Absolutely love it. It works perfectly and very easy to use. So much easier than taking my jewelry to a jewelry store to have it cleaned. The only con to this is the cost of jewelry cleaner, which frontgate only offers in a kit, I would rather just be able to purchase the cleaner, without the accessories.

Great cleaner
This is a great buy. It works!!!!! The unit was a little pricey I thought but once I received it and understood the instructions, it is great! I would recommend this if you like your bling.

One of the worst purchase I ever made
I was looking for a professional type jewelry cleaner for Christmas for my wife. I found this one on Frontgate. Although it was almost 6 times the cost of other cleaners, it appeared the quality would be there for that price. I ordered it in November.
Several weeks later I recv'd an email from Frontgate saying it would be delayed and not deliverable until Jan. 17, 3 weeks after Christmas. It was too late to do anything else, and I wanted a higher quality unit, so I stuck with it.
When it finally arrived - what a disappointment.
1. It takes 1 hour to run a cleaning cycle.
2. It lasted through 2 cleanings and would not power on after that.
3. The basket was too small for large pieces
Positives:
1. It was delivered exactly on time based on the delay/revised sched.
2. The return process was easy and they paid the shipping charges for the return via UPS.
No more Frontgate products for me. Lots of hype, looks like better quality, and then it isn't.

Not as expected
I really wanted to like this cleaner. It is fairly easy to use but honestly I didn't notice the sparkle I expected. Plus the cleaning basket is so small some things don't fit like bangles. It also takes along time. I expected more for the money.

Great Jewelry Cleaner. Needs Final Steam Blast.
I bought this as a gift for my wife. She is very happy with it because it consumes little counter space, is easy to use, and cleans her small jewelry very well. You won't fit a large watch-sized bracelet or something like that in this. Rings, earrings, and curled up chains and bracelets are all that can fit in the cleaning chamber. My wife loves it. Her jewelry comes out sparkling clean. She only had one constructive comment that could lead to improvement. While there is a steam cycle, there is no final 'blast' of steam like some jewelers use to blast alway or eliminate lodged particles or rinse away a cleaning residue film left on items after the cleaning cycle is complete. This is the only reason I couldn't give this product the fifth star. If she rinses and gently brushes her cleaned rings after the cleaning cycle ends, they are sparkling like new. Great product, but if you have rings with many little crevices that junk (lotion, creme, etc.) can build up in, you may have to do a final rinse and brush/wipe to remove the final film. Overall a very good product. 4.5 stars in our opinion.

It's a good start...
I have been searching for a jewelry cleaner for several years now. After seeing the Trio cleaner I finally decided to take the plunge a buy one. I really wanted to like this cleaner.
Pros:
1) I liked that the cleaner essentially gives your jewlery a bath. It's ready to wear (washed and rinsed) when it's done.
2) The cleaner is pretty compact for what it does.
Cons:
1)The ultrasonic cleaner does not get out all of the grime stuck in your jewelry - you are still stuck using a brush trying to get that out.
2) The plastic bins that hold the used cleaner and water cracked on me after a couple uses.
3) Time: it takes about an hour to clean your jewelry. Again, it's like a dishwasher so if your jewelry wasn't that dirty it should be ready to wear when done - if not, you're going to be using the brush for awhile.
4) Do NOT use hard water with the cleaner as it leaves hard water spots on the jewelry.
Overall: I sent the jewelry cleaner back. I think I would have really enjoyed it if the plastic bins were not defaulty and it had the burst of steam to help get the remaining grime out of your jewelry.

Is it possible to skip through stages for a faster cleaning process or do you have to wait for the entire cycle?
For instance if I only wanted to steam clean the jewelry without the initial soak in solution, could I proceed directly to the steam clean function?

Thank you for your patience while we contacted the vendor to obtain an answer to your question regarding this item. We were able to confirm that all stages of cleaning must be completed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Answer:
It doesn't steam like a jewelers steamer, it's like a faint steam mist like you'd see from a coffee maker. Don't waste your time, it's a gimmicky joke. The ultrasonic is tiny and not powerful at all. It doesn't work independently to answer your question.5 months ago

Answer:
The ultrasonic mode should not be used on some jewelry such as opals, pearls. They have a delicate mode for these items. I used the ultrasonic mode on my diamonds and they came out sparkling clean. Frontgate has provided instructions on what settings can be used for some pieces of jewelry. I do not have Tanzinite and looking at the instructions, Tanzinite was not mentioned in the instructions. I would contact your jeweler before using it.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
Have used it on diamonds, and assume it's good for any hard stones with good structural integrity. If you've used the various single function soak, ultrasonic, steam cleaning machines individually without harming your jewelry, it should be ok in this multi-step device. Some rubies, emeralds, etc. are treated with fillers for surface imperfections, so don't know about that - best to check with certified gemologist or online for guidance on such issues. Use Delicate cycle for pearls, so that they are not subjected to ultrasonic step.Length of Ownership: < 1 year

Answer:
It works great on all diamonds; makes my wife's larger Asscher bright and clear, and her smaller fancy cuts, brilliant white.I would not advise using anything but mild soap and distilled water to clean Tanzanite, it is very delicate and is susceptible to scratching and cracking.
