Triumph Hose Cart 4.3 5 16 16
Triumph Hose Cart Good hose cart, but the elbow that you hook the main hose onto is not angled enough and the wound-up hose has to go over it and slips to the side to get cought up when unwinding. Also, the o-ring was so tight on mine that I had to have someone stand on the cart so that I could wind itup without turning over. I sprayed some WD-40 in it and it fixed that problem. Triumph Hose Cart Review First unit arrived defective. Brass inner coupling had broken loose. Looks like a defective weld job at factory. Frontgate Customer Service was very responsive. Shipped replacement unit within 4 days without charging me for second unit. The replacement hose cart arrived in perfect condition and assembled easily. This is a great product, and looks like it will last for a lifetime. I bought it on sale which helped make the hose cart more affordable. I definitely recommend this hose cart. August 26, 2011
EXCELLENT CHOICE WONDERFULLY ENGINEERED AND SOLIDLY BUILT. EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF THE MANY, MANY PLASTIC DISASTERS WE HAVE TRASHED OVER THE YEARS. REGARDING ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS, WE WOULD RECOMMEND ATTACHING THE U-HANDLE FIRST AS WELL AS ATTACHING THE LEADER HOSE AFTER THE GARDEN HOSE. FINAL THOUGHT: A NEW HOSE WINDS A LOT EASIER THAN ONE OF YOUR OLD ONES! HAPPY WATERING!!! August 19, 2011
Triumph Hose Cart/Hose/Sprayer Excellent quality of the materials of the cart. Easy assembly. All parts included. Sturdy, yet attractive. Rolls eaily. Water Hose is flexible and easy to roll and unroll. The sprayer is very convenient to use and gives good coverage.. Needed a few more instructions for attaching the black hose to the cart so it would not turn. August 4, 2011
good product The hose cart is solidly built. The problem was that it wound the hose from the bottom, rather than over the top which made it very difficult to wind up. The l-arm for the hose attachment was 180 degrees reversed (backwards). They are sending a replacement. Also, if the attachment 9 foot hose is not streched out, as the hose is wound up, the black attachment hose wraps around the brass nozzle. I remedied that by tying the hose at the bottom to the frame. July 20, 2011
Good product, assembly seems to be backward. Your hose reel design is pretty good compared to other brands. The components seem to be high quality & appear to work well. I believe the assembly of the reel to the cart is backward. The reel handle is on the left and the hose connection on the right which makes it awkward for a right hand person to reel in the hose. You also must reel the hose in from under the reel because the hose attachment faces the rear of the reel. The cart would also benefit from some sort of stabilizing part to step on as you reel in the hose, it is very unstable when reeling in a 100 feet of hose. July 9, 2011
Well designed, poorly manufactured I recently received my hose cart which I found to be well designed but poorly manufactured. After assembling it I attached the hose and found a large leak at what I believe is located at the brass joint inside the drum assembly. Unfortunately prior to my purchase I had read a review on this product by another customer and he had the exact same problem. Unfortunately the replacement part he was sent did the same thing. After reading the review I mistakenly assumed that the problem had most likely been addressed but It is unfortunate that tit appears to be ongoing. As it most likely originates in the overseas manufacturing process a fix or redesign needs to be implemented with a quality check prior to being shipped; a simple air pressure check would suffice. Not so great I have been waiting to find a good quality hose reel. After mainy years of using less expensive hose reels and holders, we can finally buy the best. The quality of materials is great and very sturdy. The use of it is very difficult. When reeling the hose in the whole thing wants to move all over so you must put your foot on th front bar to stabilize then use one hand to reel and the other to guide the hose evenly . It is a real workout. It is suppose to hold up to 150'. Well that is very difficult to get it all on. We are now just going to use is with a 25 or 50' length on it and justt use ti for washing cars. We need to have the reel brought in the garage after use so we did achieve that with this purchase. With a brick frontt of our house we cannot hang it. June 24, 2011
