WATER & DIRT SHIELD ™ 1'6" x 2'3" Entry Mat 4.7 5 14 16
Water & Dirt Shield The wife and I purchased the "Water & Dirt Shield" mat in caramel with a dimension size of 3'9" x 6'10" for our brand new home's front entry way. Thus far, it has done a fantastic job keeping the floors of the home much cleaner with all the contractors coming in and out of the home. I will admit to being a bit hesitant on the purchase given the greater than expected expense but it has definitely proven its worth over the last couple of weeks. October 13, 2013
Great mat - especially if you have pets! I am very pleased with this mat. I was able to choose the perfect size and color for my house. I use it inside the door that my two cavaliers use to go in and out to the backyard. It really helps remove water, debris, and dirt before they get to an oriental rug. I was amazed at the pollen it caught from the dog's feet. Outstanding product. May 1, 2013
Perfect entry mat Perfect entry mat for back or side door. Durable and stays put. The color matched vinyl floor perfectly. Great for entrances that get a lot of hard traffic. February 13, 2013
Beautiful buy We bought this mat for our breezeway entry, where we and our dogs frequently come in with rain, snow and mud on our feet. Too attractive to call a mat, this rug looks great and catches a lot of the stuff we bring through the door. Also, it was available in the exact large size that we needed and in a nice range of colors. Frontgate was the only company that had just the right product. March 19, 2013
Best Ever Entry Rug Back door, St. Bernard coming and going, rainy/snowy winter, your entryway rug. Best ever combination! It actually traps dirt and water and doesn't slide when the dog runs over it. Love it! February 25, 2013
Perfect size! Good quality and perfect size for a small condo foyer. I had a difficult time finding something that was big enough or small enough. I bought the Bordeaux color in 3'9 x 3'11. Looks great with my cocoa brown hardwood flooring. March 28, 2012

Answer:
The recommended cleaning instructions for the Water & Dirt Shield Mats are to surface wash with mild detergent or rinse with a hose. We do not recommend placing them in a washer and/or dryer

I understand that the rug has a slip resistant backing. Can someone tell me if that coating is made of rubber (latex is another word for that)? I'm not sure if all slip resistant backings are made of rubber as opposed to a synthetic material that might not pose the same issues for my floor.

We have just put down a bamboo floor in my studio, and I need to get an entry mat to catch the sandy soil from our yard. However, I was told by the installer not to put a rubber backed mat on the floor. Is the non-slip finish on this line of mats safe for use on bamboo? Our floor is very hard and has a tough finish, but I want to be safe. Thanks!
