  • Length (front to back)
  • Width (side to side): Take width measurements in three different places, and use the smallest)
  • Thickness*

*Note: Cushions become worn over time, so thickness may be inaccurate. A general guide is 2-3 for wood furniture cushions and 3-5 for aluminum furniture cushions.

  • Length of seat (front to back) and add 1 inch
  • Width of seat: Side to side in the middle (for chairs without arms), or between insides of armrests. If the backrest is curved, add 1.5 inch.
  • Thickness: Measure the back opening of the seat and add 1 inch. If there's no back opening, estimate 2-3" for wood chairs and 3-5" for aluminum chairs.

CHAISE CUSHIONS

Lay the cushion on a hard, flat surface to measure.
  • Length of seat cushion (seat fold to end)
  • Length of backrest cushion (top of cushion to seat fold
  • Width: Edge to edge (NOT seam to seam) just in front of the seat cushion fold.
  • Length of seat cushion: End of the lounge to the fold at the back of the seat.
  • Length of backrest cushion: Top of the backrest to the fold at the back of the seat.
  • Width: Measure
    1. Top back of the seat (edge to edge)
    2. Just below the fold (between the arms)
    3. End of the seat / leg rest (edge to edge)
The narrowest measurement will be your seat cushion width.
