DO NOT BUY THIS
I have been looking at this for a while and went for it. I was so excited after reading the reviews, that when it came, the very next day I tossed the box not ever thinking I should keep it. The concept is good, heating the water before brewing, but it's messy and the carafe leaks terribly. Because there is no warming unit after brewing the coffee cools quickly. I'm giving it to Big Sisters, it's the worst coffee maker I have ever owned. Do Not Buy This, save yourself the dissapointment. I'm surprised that Frontagate even offers this, they usually only have quality products.

Best Coffee Maker -- Believe It!
In our 45 years of marriage we have owned many, many automatic coffee makers. The Brazen is, bar none, the best we have ever had. First, where it says it keeps your coffee hot--it actually does! Probably the greatest failing of the other coffee makers we have owned (with allegedly 'thermal' carafes) is that the coffee begins to cool within 10 minutes of brewing. While you can buy the type with heating plate built in, our experience is that the coffee turns muddy when you have this feature. The settings on the Brazen are a bit over the top, but so what. Our kids, nieces and nephews who were gathered here for Thanksgiving all thought the spaceship design was 'cool!' Expensive, yes, but you won't be buying other machines after this.

Less Than Brazen
I was really looking forward to this bold and new coffee brewer following Behmor's promotional videos and related videos on YouTube. All I wanted was a coffee machine that would deliver a HOT cup of FLAVORFUL coffee for our vacation home. At our permanent residence, I can produce a good cup of coffee with an old KitchenAid coffee maker, or if I have the time I'll use my Chemex.
I make coffee if small batches, 15 ounces exactly. After four attempts with the Brazen with the resulting mediocre cups of coffee, I gave up trying. Making good coffee shouldn't be rocket science.
Perhaps I got a defective machine. Perhaps I should have waited for more customer reviews before purchasing, but on the day that I returned it to Frongate, I ordered a Bonavita coffee maker, an appliance with history.
