Winter Pine Cordless Stake Tree is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but iffy with batteries I really like the two that I bought except for them being battery powered. I thought it would be nice not to have to worry about the power cord. My intention was just to leave the lights on for the 4 weeks that I would have them up outside. As it turns out the batteries only lasted a week. So now I changed the batteries and have to go outside to turn them on every night. Not a convenient thing to do with the cold weather in the Northeast. If I had to do it all over again I would have ordered the 120VAC and had them on a timer that I use with a 48" wreath. But the trees themselves are what I expected and I do like the look of them.

dimensions of tree

Is this tree really 10.5" wide by 48" tall? The proportions in the picture don't look like the height is 4 to 5 times more than the width. Is the length of the stake included in the height?

The Winter Pine Cordless Stake Tree measures 10-1/2" dia. x 48"H, with the height including from the very bottom of the stake to the very top of the tree.

How tall is tree itself - not including the stake? Also, is the stake made of metal because the ground that it's going in is a little hard-packed...
