Heavy and attractive
The stand is attractive and heavy enough to keep our 9' diameter umbrella from blowing over.

Umbrella base
Heavy - 150 lbs - expensive shipping due to weight - In spite of weight, couldn't believe last storm picked up base and turned it over with umbrella closed!

Solid, Built to Last w No-Spin Feature
Not only is this base heavy and secure, I particularly like the umbrella sleeve that comes with it which screws into the base and has screws that go into holes in the umbrella shaft to keep the umbrella from spinning in the wind. Great feature!!!

Another option.
I got the original 19" / 150 lb. stand. It didn't fit under my table. I called back to see if you had a smaller connector to the base, which you didn't. I had 2 choices, 1) return the umbrella, awning, and stand with post, or, have someone cut the post to the base down several inches to fit my table. I did that and I am very happy. However, I think you should offer a shorter post to the 150 lb. base that would fit many other tables that would love your 8 x 11 umbrella. Just a thought!

Strong, sturdy, and stylish
Thinking about what a 150lb weighted umbrella stand would look like sight unseen was daunting. We have a modern house, with lots of stainless steel railings and corrugated siding...not to mention Uber modern deck furniture that’s sleek. So we are happy to report this stand blends in perfectly. And since we’re on the side of a mountain and get strong winds at the drop of a hat the extra heavy stand makes perfect sense.

Great Base
The base is non intrusive under our table, keeps our umbrella from bending in high winds and enhance the natural low key look of our patio

Amazing umbrella stand
We went through hurricane Michael a year and a half ago. After seeing what could happen to umbrellas that didn’t have a heavy enough base I started searching to find a nice looking but commercial quality stand. When I called Frontgate I was actually lucky enough to speak to a product specialist that told me this was what I was looking for. He had seen the product first hand and I’m so happy I listen to to him. I am not worried about my umbrella becoming a missile in the next storm or high winds that we may have. Don’t hesitate buy!

Great for large umbrella
Large but has to be to hold our large umbrella in place.

How tall is the cylinder which receives the umbrella?
I have the free standing 8'x11' Frontgate freestanding umbrella. Will this base support this umbrella on its own without the stability of a table?
How far does the receiving cylinder extend above the base?
Thank you for your interest in the 150 lb. Smooth Base for 11' or Larger Umbrellas. The stem on this base is 6.5"H above the 4.8"H base; however, it also includes a 11" extension that should be used when leaving the umbrella freestanding. The entire base, stem, and extension are approximately 22.3"H.

This item is 4.8 inches thick from the bottom of the base to the top of the opening for the pole.

I have an outdoor market umbrella with a 1.5" dia pole. I want to purchase the 150 lb base unit, and question is will the pole work ok w/ this base.
with the hole for base accepting up to a 2" dia pole are their any draw backs to using a 1 1/2" pole in the larger base hole ? I wouldn't think their would be, but with the price I want to make sure.
This base comes with 2 adjuster sleeves which allows this base to accommodate a 1.5" diameter pole. There is also an adjusting knob on the base that allows you to tighten the base around the pole for added stability.
