I wanted to use torches to repel mosquitoes. Does the paraffin oil have any insect repelling properties - I don't believe so but want to double check.

Paraffin oil review
This paraffin oil burns clean without soot and has no offensive odor. Would be nice if it also was available in an insect repellent form to provide not only the pleasure torch ambiance affords, but keeps any annoying pests that are attracted to light and are present near the water and wooded areas.

Ambiance
The product lights up very quickly and do not give off an offensive odor. This is not meant to keep bugs away but is for the ambiance.

Only paraffin oil for my torches
I read that some customers were having trouble with their torches because they didn't use the proper type of oil (paraffin). I was taking no chances with mine...spent good money for them. Though we haven't used them this season, I'm confident I'll be satisfied.
