34"H Freestanding Pet Barrier with Walk-through Door is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 258.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great barrier without holes in my walls. I've had my gate for a few years and it kept my 14 pound cat out of my sewing room. She couldn't leap over it and my sewing room was saved!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Pet Gate Ever Made I've owned this gate for several years. It was used to divide two rooms and keep two Great Danes restricted from a dining room. The gate is sturdy, it's attractive and it's attractive. Recently we moved to Texas and the movers had disassembled the gate for shipping. (Yes, there is a small assembly required). All of the screws and L Pins were lost. I called Frontgate and yesterday, replacement screws and L Pins were in my mailbox. Thank you Frontgate!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed The finish has an ugly, hand painted finished that looks terrible. It is not accurately represented online. The door only swings one way - inward - so it doesn’t work at the bottom of a stairwell. The photos online show the door swinging both ways. The legs wobble and don’t sit evenly on a flat tile floor! And one of the corners of the gate doesn’t fit correctly and therefore doesn’t form a proper right angle. To top it all off, after a few months of use, the gate no longer self closes. We are very disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and good looking too. Very good looking and keeps my dog from going through our screen door to get rabbits and squirrels, while allowing the humans access to the yard without fear of the dog escaping. I wish the human gate swung in and out, not just out though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase ever! I love this gate! Although I thought it was pricy for a pet gate, it is sturdy yet you can easily move it throughout your house. I use it to block off certain areas when I don't want my pets wondering off into an area they shouldn't be in. (We had some construction done in the house.) This is one of the best products I have ever bought and I am sure we will have it for MANY years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Answer to our biggest indoor dog dilemna! We have two labs that we have struggled on finding the right solution to create their own space for years. I have looked at this barrier off and on for a long time and finally purchased it. Should have done it years ago. It would have saved my hardwood floors! Thank you.

Why not recommended for toy breeds? What do you recommend for putting in a Doorway that is 32” to 33.5”?

Asked by: Ben05
Thank you for your interest in the 34"H Freestanding Pet Barrier with Walk-through Door. The gaps in between the all the bars is approximately 2" which makes it unsuitable for many toy breeds. This gate expands in 2" increments from 54-3/4" to 68-1/2" wide.

Hi I have purchased the 34” H Freestanding Pet Barker with Walk-through Door.   When I have it expanded to the maximum width I still have a small gap.  Is there an end piece that is meant to attach to the wall?

Asked by: Joyce123
Thank you for your interest in the 34"H Freestanding Pet Barrier with Gate. This gate is not designed to attach to the wall. When fully extended it should be 68-1/2"W.

Are there any other gaps greater than 2 inches? For instance at the bottom of the gate or possibly the hinge side of the gate?

I have been looking at the pet gates 31077 and 64303. I really want tension mount gates, but I need one for a 44” opening and one for a 60” opening. These gates look identical in the catalog. Can the 31077 be tension or hardware mounted?

Asked by: QueenBee713
Thank you for your interest in the 34"H Freestanding Pet Barrier with Gate. This gate is designed to be freestanding and cannot be mounted. The 34-inch Extra Wide Tension Mount Pet Gate is our largest tension mounted gate and can only extend up to 42"W. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
