Caldwell Fire Table is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great until the wood covers warped We bought this last season in summer and really enjoyed it. However, we were disappointed to watch the wood covers warp. Consequently they no longer lay flat. The unit was covered at all times when not in use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We Love It -- BUT We have had our Caldwell Fire Table for 17 months. We use it as often as weather permits and just love how it looks (from a distance). At 50,000 BTUs it consumed a lot of propane so we were happy to finally convert it to natural gas. HOWEVER, we take issue with these bullet items: "Crafted of durable Envirostone" and "Weathers naturally". NOT IN OUR WET SEATTLE ENVIRONMENT! This winter every side of the box has failed - evidently because moisture got into the walls causing them to swell up and break the "durable" Envirostone coating. We are DYIrs but this will take a lot of fixing...but we still love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Resort quality fire table This is a beautiful table. Assembly is easy and it's easily placed where you want it by two men before adding the propane tank, fire rocks/glass, and table tops. Feels sturdy and looks like it cost a lot more than it did. Very heavy once it's fully assembled - don't plan on moving it once it is. The fire assembly is easy to operate and even on low puts off some heat. We used FG's reflective fire glass instead of the included lava rocks and it looks amazing. FYI, we needed 60 pounds of glass to cover the bottom and gas element. It comes with a snug fitting cover that I really like, and even comes with two corrective pens for scratches. I think my only complaint is the same as the other reviewer - the glass side's table top is slightly bowed. I think the culprit is the design - the glass side has feet to protect the glass and it raises that side up slightly. When the top is exposed to humidity, the table sags a bit, onto the glass. I will say however, it's barely noticeable and would not deter me from ordering this table again. If it gets worse I will update my review, and FG's solution. We absolutely love the table. It definitely has that wow factor at a good price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally Awesome This piece is really pretty stunning, I've only had it for a week but have had many comments from friends and visiting family about how nice it looks. My only complaint is that the cover over the fire pit itself has warped and is a bit bowed despite never being put on within 12 hours of using the fire pit. Otherwise the whole thing appears well built and easy to use. It does require about an hour of assembly with 2 able adults, but I'm glad I got it and enjoy using it.

Our fire table is deteriorating! We need help. So beautiful when we purchased it and after 17 months - many of those when we didn't use it - it's crumbling onto our deck! Naturally it's not under warranty any longer otherwise we would have returned it.

what is the bottom exterior of the Caldwell Fire Table material? I am considering adding industrial casters with a wheel locking device during assembly, to allow for moving of the table in the off seasons.

Asked by: McGeeC
Thank you for your interest in the Caldwell Fire Table. We do not recommend adding castors, even with a locking option. Any alterations to the item voids the warranty.

Can we use the light stone balls (approx 3”di) with this fire pit and is it ok to leave propane tank under table while it’s on?

Asked by: Lotsafuninthesun
Thank you for your interest in the Caldwell Fire Table. The propane tank does not go under the table where the flames are so it is fine to leave it in the compartment when the table is on. As far as the stone balls, we are looking in to this as we do not have this information.

I live in Florida and therefore must consider how to move the table in the event of a hurricane. Can this unit be moved in one piece or does it require disassembling to move?

Asked by: Kodie
Thank you for your interest in the Caldwell Fire Table. The main section of this table is one piece. Please note, the propane tank would need to be removed before moving this table.

Hi there- question for you on the recommendation not to put the firepit on wood. Is this because there is sufficient heat or danger of a spark from the bottom of the unit or? Want to understand any potential damage to the surface it sits on. Thanks!

Asked by: Patricee
Thank you for your interest in the Caldwell Fire Table. We do not recommend placing this on a wood deck or within several feet of flammable items. As with any fire table, this is due to the risk of sparks or cinders coming out of the fire and landing on the ground.
