Beautiful to look at but so great for seat comfort
I bought this gorgeous patio set a couple of months ago. The patio set frames are beautiful and well crafted, however the cushion quality leaves a lot to be desired. Upon sitting on the sofa it was noticeable from the get go that the seat cushions lacked support and comfort. I spoke to customer service and sent pictures of the cushions and they issued an order to send replacement cushions. I have tried my best to be positive, but these seat cushions are just as bad as the original. We hosted Christmas and even a guest commented how lovely the set was but how he felt the underside of the sofa metal. I took the cushions to an upholsterer who was surprised at how soft and unsupportive the foam was in addition to only being 4 1/2” thick instead of the usual 5”. Moreover, the back cushions were stuffed with dacron without even an interior cover. I was quoted a price to have all new interior cushions for seats and backs which is the only remedy I have to date…quite expensive for a brand new set!. This certainly is not the quality I expected from Frontgate. We got rid of an inexpensive set from a big box retailer and never had an issue with the cushions…so disappointed in this attractive but uncomfortable patio set. Hoping for a resolution without having to redo all the cushions!
