Excellent Restaurant-Level Patio Heater
Excellent restaurant-level patio heater, perfect for those COVID dinners outdoors! It keeps things comfortable down to about 30 degrees, and doesn't use too much fuel. The one thing to be careful of is tipping - despite the weight of a sand-filled bottom and a propane tank, it can tip over easily in windy conditions.

Outdoor Eating is Comfortable With Patio Heater
The heater is attractive and easy to use once installed. I had to hire a workman to install and he put the 2 I ordered together in around 1 hour. The heat generated is very good unless it is below 45 degrees. In that case, it does not create enough heat to eat or sit outside comfortably. Of course, it works best when there is little or no wind. Still, for a wide range of temperatures when you need heat, from say 68 degrees down to around 45, it works very effectively.

Wish we'd have purchased patio heater years ago!
This Heater is well made. The materials came packaged so that they were protected and did not have dents ( which seemed to be a common occurrence when researching with other vendors). We assembled it and are using it to heat our exterior unprotected terrace area where the temperatures can easily get into single digits.

Not worth the steep price
Due to poor manufacturing, our unit is crooked at the mid-point where two shafts connect. Overall the heater is cheap material, same as big-box store, and does not warrant twice the price as other options.

Hard to assemble
This arrived in a box in dozens of pieces and required full assembly, which took us two hours. Not what I expected. And when we were done, the top was tilted/crooked. Not at all the quality I expect and usually get from Frontgate.

bent canopy rusting hardware
Less than 6 months and already rusting
The canopy arrived dented. Now all the nuts and bolts that hold it together are rusting. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this product. We will contact customer service to resolve this issue. We paid for a commercial quality product, but the quality is closer to a cheap warehouse clearance.

Doesn’t produce heat
Very disappointed. I replaced the LP gas regulator to improve the flame and then had to remove the gas regulator to get a flame that would put out any heat, which is still minimal. Frontgate customer service read me the instruction manual and the manufacturer would not return a call. It looks nice as patio furniture but not any help to provide heat

Only worked once
I purchased this unit in the Fall and I was confident of Frontgate’s quality. However, I have only been able to get this heater one time despite reviewing the Troubleshooter guide. I will probably buy from a local retailer in the future. It was easy to assemble

Poor Quality
We bought our first heater in May and used it for the first time in October due to weather conditions being unseasonable hot for so long....when we first turned it on the flame was barely visible even on the high setting and we also smelled gas. My husband being a firefighter of 40 years immediately turned it off. We requested a return and exchange which we were graciously issued by Frontgate. The second heater arrived ...after assembly the smell of gas was prevalent and so my husband performed the "gas leak" test and sure enough another faulty unit. We requested a return of this one also and a FULL refund on both heaters and the cover that was ordered specifically to fit heater. WE are waiting for the refunds as I write this review. We have ALWAYS been pleased with the quality of the products we have purchased through Frontgate but we do think that the quality of this product was below their standard. I'm sure has to do with all the obstacles of workers and work quality due to the Covid atmosphere. I am confident that Frontgate will make good on our refund due to their reputation on customer service and satisfaction.

Beware of price
I bought this for my husband for Christmas. I just arrived post-holiday and product seems to work fine, very noisy compared to others I've been around. I would agree with other reviewers - it's the exact same product you can source locally for less than half of the price here. Buyer beware. Totally disappointed in Frontgate, shame on you! This will be my last purchase from you ever.

Beware!
We have waited a couple of months to receive this heater. We ordered from Frontgate thinking we were going to get one that is a step above the commonly seen heaters in Home Depot, etc. Well, it came today and right on the packaging it says, "Made for Balken Home". Also, the brand, Fire Sense. These are commonly sold for approximately half Frontgate's $499 price tag. Talk about being duped!!! On top of that, shipping charges are based off of the price paid, including the sales tax. Look it up for yourself ...the actual model number is 63010. Do yourself a favor and look up Balkenhome, or Firsense with that model number and see for yourself. We have yet to use it, so we do hope it works well. However, our trust in Frontgate and thinking it was a step above was way off mark.

I was heartbroken to find out that I waited 1.5 months for the exact same item sold at box chain stores for half the price. If I wasn't desperate for a socially distant backyard heat source I would immediately return the item.
