My kitchen sink is set on a diagonal counter. I want to get this mat and cut the corners off at the front so that it will fit. Is it foam through so that I could do this without fraying? I know that is not ideal but I need a mat I can cut.

Rubber Smell
I recevied my mat this week but I've noticed that there is a very strong rubber smell. After several days, the smell still exists, even after airing it outside. Has anyone else noticed this?

Easy to clean
This kitchen mat is handsome and easy to clean. It doesn't have as much cushion as I thought it might but it's enough and feels good under my feet. I'm very happy with my purchase.
